Day Eight

Ender arrived home and let the others know what had happened. Fedorekd understood that she did what she had to do, however the other two were less than pleased. There had been yet another raid, and Fedorekd and Flee were both injured. Thankfully, they had only stolen cigarettes, and nothing important. There was a knock at the door. Carson answered to a man named Valter, who told him that there had been a humanitarian aid drop, and asked Carson if he wanted to come to grab some supplies. Carson agreed, and headed off, knowing of the potential danger.
Spoiler

Ender spent the day trying to justify what she did, but deep down she was horrified at herself. And to make things worse, she would have to go scavenging again tonight, seeing as Carson was away and neither Fedorekd nor Flee were in any state to leave the house.
Spoiler

Ender headed to St. Mary's Church, bringing along some weaponry and the bulletproof vest she had taken last night. She found an armed man scavenging, and hid in the lower levels to let him pass. She followed him to a nearby house, where several other bandits were living.
Spoiler

They clearly had a lot of supplies. She carefully made her way through the house, taking what she could, making sure she wasn't seen or heard. She even found some bandages for Fedorekd and Flee. However, despite still not having a decent amount of stuff, time was running out, and the bandits were getting closer and closer to her location. She had no choice but to leave through the back door, but she'd return one day to take what she could.

Day Seven

Overnight, a group had tried to raid the place yet again. This time, though, nothing was stolen, and no one was injured. Carson still hadn't made it home. The group had enough food for only one person, and they decided to save it for him, seeing as he was the one who went out. Finally, Carson arrived with his take of the night. On his journey home, though, he'd been wounded.
Spoiler

The group was all out of bandages, so they best thing they could do was let him eat and get some rest. Flee cooked him a meal before Carson went to bed. Using some of their materials, Fedorekd built an animal trap. Hopefully, that would help with the food situation. Meanwhile, Flee made a crowbar.
Spoiler

Ender went to a small apartment for the night, bringing the crowbar with her. She hoped it'd be an easy one. She soon found that the building was occupied, though. Hearing sounds coming from the room adjacent to hers, she peeked through the keyhole to see a heavily-armed man who didn't look too friendly.
Spoiler

She decided to head to the floor above, quietly, to avoid him, and found herself in the kitchen. To her delight, the fridge was full of food. Her delight was short-lived, however, as she heard someone coming. She took the food and hid on the floor below. She could hear the man getting closer. When he was directly in front of her, she went for him, hitting him with the crowbar until he was on the floor, lifeless.
Spoiler

Taking a moment to consider what she'd just done, she looted the man's vest and weapons. She heard more footsteps, and hid in the same place, and was shocked to see who had come. An elderly lady walked into the room. She broke down upon seeing her son's corpse. That man wasn't a bandit... Ender had just murdered someone who was simply protecting their parents.
Spoiler

She had to leave. She'd done enough damage to these people. She just hoped that her group would understand why she committed this unforgivable act.

Day Six

The place had been raided again. This time, Fedorekd was injured, but had been bandaged up and was resting. Strangely, the thieves hadn't actually stolen anything.
Spoiler

Carson was busy fortifying the place even more. Flee was sleeping. The group was hoping that the friendly merchant would arrive again, so they could actually buy some food.
Spoiler

Despite the situation, the group was still in a strangely good mood after hearing of Ender's actions at Sniper Junction, and things were made even better when the merchant, Franko, arrived. Carson was able to use the jewellery to buy some canned food as well as some extra materials. Finally, the group had something to eat.
Spoiler

Flee built the group a metal workshop. With a few extra materials, they would be able to build some basic weaponry to defend themselves with in the case of another attack.
Spoiler

It was Carson's turn to go scavenging, and tonight he chose the construction site. It had been abandoned during the war, and the upper levels were inhabited by some military snipers. The lower levels were safe, though.
Spoiler

As expected, the loot consisted mostly of materials. Carson carefully made his way up the building, looking out for snipers.
Spoiler

Soon enough, he found them, casually firing at any civilian they saw wandering the streets.
Spoiler

They seemed to be the only ones there, which meant the opposite side of the building was clear. Carson made his way there, and managed to find a tiny bit of food as well as some medical ingredients. Preparing to leave, Carson heard footsteps. The soldiers were above him. He quickly hid himself, as the soldiers dropped down onto his floor.
Spoiler

Carson was silent, not making even the slightest of movements. They seemed to stay there for eternity. Once they finally left, Carson decided to get the hell out of there. However, he had been hiding for too long. Morning was coming, and walking through the city during the daytime would be a death sentence. Carson wasn't going to make it home for a while.

Better Call Saul

It's good. But I have no idea why people say it's better than Breaking Bad. It's not even on the same level.

I should get around to watching S2. I liked series 1, but I agree - Breaking Bad was a lot better

I might rewatch BB at some point. I have all five seasons on DVD.
S2 doesn't start until Monday in the UK...

And while S1 as a whole wasn't on the same level as BB, I'd say that the show has the potential to become better, and some of the episodes were on the same level as BB's best, particularly Mike's episode.

I thought it was already out.
Nope. Returns the same day as TWD.

Monday's gonna be amazing.
We get both Better Cuck Chuck and the greatest cucking in TV history. What a great day for cucks around the world.

Day Five - Outbreak of Crime

When Flee got back, the place was a mess. Carson was bedridden; he'd sustained an injury. The place had been raided while Flee was gone. The thieves had stolen medicine, food and cigarettes, but luckily they hadn't taken any bandages, so Carson could be patched up. Thankfully, Ender had made it back in one piece, and Fedorekd was already working on fortifying the place.
Spoiler

Unfortunately, all of the group's food was gone, so they had to go the day without eating. After he finished patching up the building's walls, Fedorekd used his expertise in electronics to make a radio. It was important to keep in touch with what was going on. Hopefully this and the new fortifications would prevent such an incident occuring again.
Spoiler

Ender was the one to go out scavenging tonight. The aptly named Sniper Junction had been the location of several injuries and deaths of refugees. A lone sniper had holed up in one of the buildings in the area and spent his time shooting at anyone who dared wander into the area. Going here was risky, but these days you had to take risks. Arriving at the junction, Ender met a friendly scavenger, and the two were able to find some building materials, out of the view of the sniper. However, Ender had to go further. She crept up to the corner of a building, waiting.
Spoiler

The sniper fired a shot. She stayed put. Another shot. Ender sprinted as fast as she could to take cover behind a ruined vehicle. Ahead of her was a monument, and she could see a man sat up against it, clearly injured. She waited for the sniper to fire another shot, and then she ran to meet him.
Spoiler

The man had been shot trying to bring medicine back to his infant son. Normally, he'd take the sewers below him to get home, but someone had blocked the door up from the other side. Ender offered to help him, but it meant that she'd have to take the more dangerous route. Again, she ran, dodging sniper fire, ducking next to a bus, a van, a bench.
Spoiler

Finally, she reached the man's flat, and got inside just as a bullet narrowly missed the back of her head. Inside, she heard the sound of a baby crying. The door to the room with the baby in was locked, but she didn't need to get in there.
Spoiler

She went into the basement, entered the sewers and ran in the direction of the monument. She cleared the blockage from the door, and escorted the man back to his baby.
Spoiler

Thankful for Ender's help, the man let Ender take what she wanted from a box under his bed. Too her surprise, and her delight, she found several pieces of jewellery. While she hadn't found any food on this supply run, the jewellery could be used to buy some from that friendly merchant. She couldn't stay for much longer, as it was almost morning. Using the sewers to hide from the sniper, Ender made it back home in one piece.
