Day Twelve

Carson was bedridden. The group had no bandages or anything to treat him with. If they didn't find any soon, he would die. He'd likely die with bandages, but they had to try regardless. Flee had to sleep after a long night of guarding the place. Ender was depressed again. Fedorekd gave her another talk.

The trader came to their door, thankfully. Fedorekd was able to barter some bandages and materials from him in exchange for some guns; they had more than enough of them. He quickly rushed to get Carson bandaged up. Perhaps they could save him.

The group had caught word of a hospital nearby, where the remaining staff were doing their best to treat the wounded. Carson found the strength to drag himself there. The building was very heavily damaged, and he overheard conversations about personnel getting killed in attacks, but the staff were more than happy to treat them.

Thankful, Carson returned to the house. He even managed to find some leftover food out front. Things were looking hopeful.

Day Eleven

The group was much more relaxed knowing the warehouse bandits were dead. They still had the church dwellers to deal with. Someone would go tonight. Things were a lot less stressful; they all were able to actually eat something and have a good sleep. There were no problems, except for a slight chill in the air. Winter was coming.

Carson went to the church. They didn't know exactly how many men were there, although Ender guessed there were two or three. Carson took the same route to the house, climbing onto the first floor from the outside, leading into the bathroom. He hid in there and listened out, assault rifle at the ready. Soon enough, he heard someone coming. He kicked open the door, and opened fire on the man. He had a friend with him. Carson shot him, too.

Two more bandits came up the stairs. They both fired, hitting Carson. He had no choice but to run, jumping from the first floor and hiding in the shadows. They both came out, and went to his exact spot, but they didn't find him.

Carson was wounded, but he wasn't going to leave the job unfinished. The two men went back inside, and another man came out. Carson waited for him to pass before stabbing him to death.

He heard another man coming, so hid again, and repeated the same process. Hide, wait, kill.

Another bandit saw him this time. He raised his gun and fired, hitting and severely wounding Carson. Carson rushed back into the church basement. He wouldn't be able to run away from the man, so he stayed and hid. His next action would be the difference between life and death. The bandit came near. He jumped out, and before the bandit could so much as flinch, Carson drove the knife into his neck.

No more men came after that. The place was empty. Carson was now near death, but there was no way he'd go back empty handed. He looted as much as he could: weapons, food, medicine, and headed home, hoping that these wounds wouldn't be the end of him. At this time, though, there was little to be optimistic about. He may have killed the bandits and brought back a good amount of stuff for the group, but with his wounds, he was almost certain that his days...hours...minutes...were numbered.

Day Ten

Ender came home and explained what was going on. The group was in full support of what she wanted to do. But Fedorekd noticed something. She seemed very withdrawn after she made it back, very quiet. After she'd had a sleep, Fedorekd consoled her, trying to cheer her up a bit despite the situation.

Flee went to the warehouse Ender was talking about, gun in hand. He could hear the fuckers as soon as he entered. He heard one of them upstairs, and another ahead. He made himself hidden, waiting for the one ahead to pass. When the man did, he threw himself at him, stabbing him multiple times in the chest. He looted the man's ammo and his assault rifle.

Flee went upstairs, going room to room, trying to find the other guy. Eventually, he found him, in what looked like the kitchen from what he saw through the keyhole. Again, he made himself hidden, and sliced the man up when he came out. He took everything he could from the kitchen, and resumed his search.

The warehouse was full of useful stuff, too much for him to carry today. He took what he felt was most important.

Looking through the warehouse, he couldn't find anyone else. Those two must have been the last guys left. Flee had done it. Hopefully, Ender would cheer up knowing that these monsters were dead.

Day Nine - Curb on Crime

Another day, another raid. They didn't steal much, but Flee was injured. Luckily, Ender had bandages with her, so was able to patch him up. The trader came again, and Carson was able to trade some coffee beans in exchange for materials.

Ender went to a warehouse on the other side of town. At the entrance, she found a couple of armed men talking. They were going to hit a humanitarian aid transport later and take all the supplies for themselves. Ender couldn't let that happen.

She quietly followed the men into the building, taking anything that looked good. She listened out for anyone else; the place clearly was inhabited by more than two people. She headed into the basement, hearing someone enter the room she was just in. She'd been sloppy; the man noticed that she'd left a door open.

She climbed into the main warehouse, cautiously checking around her for bandits. She hid as a man came walking past, checking the stock. He stopped. She thought he'd noticed her. The bandit turned and went back the way he came. She followed him. She found herself at the back door of the warehouse. Through the keyhole, she could see the man having a smoke. She waited, knife at the ready. The man entered. She slashed at him. He stumbled. She slashed again. She threw a punch at her face. Reeling backwards, she lunged at him with the knife. She stabbed him straight in the heart, and he fell, dead.

She looted the gun and the ammo off of his corpse before going back into the warehouse. She had her shotgun ready. All of these motherfuckers were going to die.
