Fallout 4 you look for your son

It's a new Fallout game, looks like the FO4 engine. Called Fallout 76.

People seem to think that Chris Avellone will be the director of whatever this new game is. Highly unlikely but would be the best possible news.

I'm gonna hop on Halo Online now. That sounds a lot more fun than discussing Battle Royal in Halo or even talking about Halo 5 for that matter.

how will the addition of new content take away that uniqueness

Take a good hard look at Halo 5.
halo 5 didn't have any content?

Halo 5 lacked any real fun content when it launched. I don't know about it now but for most of the people who want more of a classic feel, its too little too late despite the updates it has.
that was more of a statement, i'm aware of halo 5's lack of content

but still, what does that have to do with battle royale?

If Battle Royal is the only thing that's fun in Halo 6, its not going to be a good game is what I'm saying.
why would that be the case?

In fact some of the best stories are those in which characters are introduced but you don't know everything about them and there is more focus on the plot and how the characters react to challenges they face.
I mean, the characters still grow as a result of these challenges. Han Solo didn't remain static throughout the original trilogy.
That's exactly my point. He didn't have an origin story either. It feels like every reboot of every series keeps trying to recapture the magic of the original but instead of doing what those people did they just make a stupid boring origin story where he boring character does some boring stuff to kind of become like the original character was at the end of the movie for 5 minutes. It's lame.
I agree that the origin story was unnecessary, and the film didn't really justify itself either. But you seemed to be saying that you wanted a film where Han Solo is the exact same throughout and just does Han Solo things for 2 hours which sounds even worse.
What's wrong with good old fashioned Han Solo for 2 hours? Isn't that the whole point of this movie? That everybody likes Han Solo and wants to see a Han Solo movie?
Because we already four other movies where Han Solo does Han Solo things.

I'd rather they just left the OT characters alone and did new things.
I agree, they should come up with new characters. But since they decided to make a Han Solo movie, at least give us Han Solo, not whatever this is.
Oh this is still Han Solo, just a more inexperienced version. Without Harrison Ford you're never really going to get the "true" Han Solo anyway.

I don't like how they neutered Han Solo. He wasn't a macho male role model who initiates the plot but rather a one-sided comic relief character who was just along for the ride. I found every other character in the movie more interesting than him.
ANH?

Well he kind of grew into that by the end. It wouldn't be very interesting if his character was the same as he was at the start of ANH, right? But I do agree he didn't feel like the protagonist.
A movie about Han Solo wouldn't be interesting if Han Solo is anything like he was in the original movies?
The film is more about how he grows into that character, which he pretty much becomes by the end of the film.
Supposedly this is the start of a trilogy. Hopefully he becomes Han Solo by the end of it. I don't believe he was anything like the Han we know at at the end of the movie with the exception of when
Spoiler
he shot first.
I think he was showing elements of the ANH Han. Although it wouldn't make sense if he turned into that exact character at the end of the film, it'd imply Han pulled his first big heist literally just before ANH whereas Han is fairly experienced by that time.

Not that I particularly want this to be a trilogy, or exist at all, but still.
What is ANH?
A New Hope

Boring. They should've just made an action adventure movie about Han Solo working for Jabba or something and it ends right where IV starts and he meets Luke And Obi Wan in the cantina.
Character development is boring? The film we got is still an action adventure film, but with a character who actually grows throughout the adventure rather than remaining static which really would be boring.

I saw Solo yesterday and it was surprisingly good. A FUN adventure movie, and often comfy, like sitting in the back of the Millennium Falcon on cruise control. I'm not sure how you fuck up the marketing for a movie so bad because I went in expecting to be able to take the piss out of it and came out having enjoyed myself. It's nothing amazing, and still fairly pointless like the rest of these anthology films, but a decent enough watch.

Anyone else seeing it?

Lots of misinformation here. I think using Rotten Tomatoes to evaluate whether a movie is good or not is a bad idea. The scores there have been manipulated in the past and could be manipulated again.

Consider this, if you actually went and saw the movie tonight when it opens, not only would you be supporting a budding Star Wars expanded universe, but you'd also be supporting your local theater. If you are Star Wars fans, you owe it to yourself to see Disney's Solo tonight.
First thing you need to make a young Solo movie is an actor that looks like H.Ford, I have absolutely nothing against Alden E. but he is not young Solo. You make a spinoff called Obi-Wan, Fett, Qui-gon, Maul or something like that and you wont even have to fake the ratings. Oh, Lando is now "pansexual", i had to look what does it means, and sorry, but Lando is a latinlover...
