There is no scientific consensus that there haven't been other big bangs elsewhere on the plane of existence.

It's possible that what we call 'The Universe' is just one megacluster of galaxies in a group of megaclusters.

Beyond that the idea that these three dimensions we traverse are merely a glimpse in a higher order of dimensions is respected by members of the scientific community.

If these are true, then it's very possible to cut through to any other megacluster, or universe, in a direction on a dimension we have yet to conceive of.
