They are both humanity in the future so would the Star Trek series still exist in the Star Trek universe and would the Halo games exist in the Halo universe?

Usually a work of fiction doesn't exist within the world of itself, and for example one of the staples of the zombie genre is that zombie fiction doesn't exist.

Star Trek probably exists in the Halo universe, but Halo probably doesn't exist in the Star Trek universe as the history diverges from ours in the 90s with the eugenics wars (before Halo was created).
