First try at rendering. Its not perfect but im happy.
-Needs fine tuning
-Edges fine tuned.
-I seem to have erased part of the Syandana...

Opinions? Tips?
Besides zooming in and making sure to remove all unnecessary stuff off the warframe it seems fine. I doubt its easy on a laptop, more time consuming really. Also the source picture seems a tad small for a quality render.

Heyo folks. I think it's time we talked about something interesting. Gmod and SFM art. It's a recent thing that's started over the past few years and I think not many people here are aware of just what can be done in these two respective programs. And, most of all, personally I believe the majority of art communities shun such things like this.

Or at the very least, they don't regard them as art. I figure I know why, and that's because everything is pre-made. Models, maps, effects and so on. But to anybody who's ever used SFM or Gmod, if you know even a small fraction of how these programs work, you'll know that some of the things you can do are not only amazing if you have the right head for it, but also hard in their own damn right.

The simple act of setting up a picture takes hours or even days. Getting everything just right is no easy task. And after all of that some people take their work into editors like photoshop and the like. So.

Here's a few simple pictures I found that caught my eye because these people really know what the fuck they're dong.

Spoiler

And, most of all, if you folks are up for it, I've known my way around gmod for a while now. And it's just recently that I put my serious cap on and I want to see just how far I can go. So, I might start posting my work here sometime soon.

Well folks. I've got a random mind. A random mind is entertaining. So. This is the result of about an hour of tinkering in G-mod. I'm part wise new and part wise rusty. But, I had fun. I'll add more stuff as I go along!

Felt like doing something with Dark Souls. Everything went fine until I tried my hand at pissing around with fire. Those effects probably should have come first. But heyo, at least I'm learning stuff.

Ehh, the hairstyle just needs to be longer, I don't really care to much of what it. The rest is fine as is.

I always like to try new crap in Gmod. And making first person shots is fun. Originally, I wanted to make a distant environment in the background for our respective space man. But I settled for him getting lost in a dust storm.

Here's the early setup shot.
Spoiler

And here's the finished shot.

Spoiler

I would have really liked to try and get a glass effect going on for his helmet but I would have needed more time to tinker. So for now I guess you can just say that his helmet is so futuristic that you don't even fucking know there's glass there.

I like making random shit. I suppose I like stories too. Which is why I crammed this picture with stuff. For starters, we've got this dude up front who's showing that he's a natural flamethrower. And you're caught between whether he's showing off, gesturing to the fire as if he's saying "Look, here's what I can do." Or if he's inviting you. Inviting you to sit down and watch a show. And you're in his corner. You've stumbled onto his home and his little part of the world that he's brought with him. So it was clear that at some point he wasn't like this. But here he is now. And he's proud of it.

Just an edit here. I really like this picture and I think out of the entire picture I really enjoy the fellow I used in the shot. So I cut some stuff out to focus just on him.

I like the red amigo. That's going to stand out big time in the finished piece isn't it?

That's the thought, if I don't change my mind and add more color.
