Got a true pen and display tablet finally. Not a Wacom, but for 320 bucks this thing is pretty good. Happy with it so far, though I'm still pretty garbage at digital stuff.

I was actually talking about the colouring style I've been using for the hair/leather/black parts of my last 3 sketches.

But good to know for the other thing. I'm at an experimental stage right now -- just trying to figure out what works and what doesn't.

Had my first go at a colour sketch. Not entirely happy with how it turned out, but I did learn some things along the way. Trial and error, I guess.

Getting some more practice in. Face in the reference was a bit more gaunt, the right-hand brow is a bit too heavy, and there are a few shading discrepancies. Overall, much more pleasant result than a couple other studies I've done tonight.
