None of the things here are original, I almost exclusively copy when I draw. I eventually got bored of drawing this snerson and stoppedSorry for the smudging, this picture is about 3 years old.One of the only drawings I haven't copied.

I've been a cartoonist for awhile. I sculpt a bit here and there. I honestly really want to do realistic type drawing and painting. How do I make the switch?

How do I make the switch?I have drawn in a cartoonish style for most of my life so I sympathize, the one thing which helped me see where I needed to improve was copying a realistic-looking drawing. If you want to really get into realism just draw what's around you.
