Getting some more practice in. Face in the reference was a bit more gaunt, the right-hand brow is a bit too heavy, and there are a few shading discrepancies. Overall, much more pleasant result than a couple other studies I've done tonight.

Couldn't sleep. Decided to put that new 24x18 canvas to use.

I tried to use my eraser to make the highlights rather than a less intense lead. Worked out pretty well, although it makes getting detail difficult (which is ironically why I bought the larger canvas). It does however make getting the shine right MUCH easier, because if you fuck up, you can just colour it back in and start over with no consequences.



Next project will be a colour Legend of Zelda piece, I think.
