I used to ride in a 1950 GMC pickup when I was a kid, great grandfather owned the truck. Boyfriend has an old 1950s pickup that's been rotting in the woods with dozens of other cars and I figured I could try and restore it to be like the GMC truck my great granddad had.

Any tips or warnings? If the whole thing cost $250,000 I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't think it's going to cost you that much. Lots of work to get something fully restored... Lots.

You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.
I haven't but I want to. When I have enough money I plan to buy an 80's SL500 coupe, fix it up, and get it repainted. it'll be so hawt

I can do everything except for electrical and bodywork.

Do you know someone who can help you with the body?

Also, wiring a car isn't too hard, well, not a classic, since there's usually not much going on and the harnesses aren't going to be nearly as convoluted as a modern car.

Oh, hey.
You've gotta be able to gauge what restorations are possible with what you have. They'll cost around $5k-8k, but if you know people or have the skills yourself a simple restoration to get it running and somewhat decent isn't very costly. There are a lot of variables.

I have never done a restoration, but I know a few who have
