I don't normally watch this guys videos, and I'm sure people don't here too, but stay with me. It's a lot better than reading a bunch of articles on the same thing.

What the hell am I supposed to do when the party I lean towards ends up fucking people over again and again, but the other party is just as untouchable in my eyes, yet the system is rigged so 3rd parties can't do shit? Vote for progressives in that party, as the trend is clearly showing is the favorable thing? I dunno. Either way this is so god damn depressing.

Well, I know who I'm raising awareness NOT to vote for in 2020. He'll probably champion himself as Obama 2.0 and play the black race vote card too.

You can try doing what I do.

Acknowledge that it's beyond your control. All parties and the vast majority of their respective members in the government exist in their own world that's a skewed version of reality. You have absolutely no power to influence them, or likely ever change them, unless you're willing to devote your entire life to joining their ranks and trying to change things. Even then your chances of success are next to none.

Don't vote. Or vote if you want to. It really doesn't matter. All you can do, as an average everyday person, is watch. Let them play their game until it meets whatever end it created.

You had me slightly convinced until you said "don't vote", especially since I live in a swing state.

What kinda shitty mindset is that?

No matter who you pick, it's the same outcome. If it's not one party coming in and shitting everything up, in the next few years it'll be the other party coming in to shit all over the work done by the other party. That's all it is.

If that was the case, we'd still have Jim Crow, and gay rights suppressed or something. Never mind when both worked together. Progress happens, it's just painfully slow.

Anyway, we're getting off topic.

You had your answer when you asked the question. I get it if your views align more to one party. I get that both parties, all the parties, have their ups and downs. It's a "lesser of two evils" deal.

Sure, they outline goals and standards of beliefs for the people they represent. But they're too focused on fighting each other. One makes progress, the other tears it down. It's a game. It wastes time. It wastes resources, it halts progress.

People like you and me are just bystanders. We get hit with the waves they make. Storms on some days, calm seas on others. We can get outselves a boat and make small waves of our own, but ultimately it rarely amounts to much when compared to the scale of the ocean itself.

The truest answer I can give is that all you can do is watch. Exactly like you'd have to if you voted and your party didn't get in anyway.

I fundamentally disagree with that. It's been shown time and time again that if people are united and loud enough, things can change. Maybe it's because I already fell into the jaded mindset a while back, but that's exactly what they want anyway.

Plus more people pay attention now to politics more than ever, as apparent to Cory Bookers twitter where people were calling his ass out.

Either way, I'm not voting for his ass for anything come 2020, and probably getting more involved that year than I already was this year.

This is not the greatest sig in the world, no. This is just a tribute.
What do you do when the party of small government is actually all about enacting big government to spy on citizens and legislate biblical morality? I'll tell ya what you do. You #standwithRand.

I guess all you can do is research the individual candidates and hold them accountable.

I think there's a good chance Trump could be re-elected if America becomes wealthy again.

2024 might be the right time to think an alternative.

"flaming nipple chops"-Your host, the man they call Ghost.

To say, 'nothing is true', is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say, 'everything is permitted', is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.
I can't fucking tell if these are more alts of Door or not

Ah I see what you mean. Well, I would comment, but honestly it's hard to speculate how ANYTHING will go right now, especially before Trump is president. I speculate his approval rating will tick upward if the economy ticks upward (it should), but a lot of it is riding on this healthcare issue.

We'll see.

This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but a whimper.
The way the Left has turned on Cory Booker, one of their most effective figures, simply to keep alive the dying cult of personality around eminent retard Bernie Sanders is hilarious.

>is a corporatist shill in the vein of Hillary
>received $267,338 from big pharma and a lot from Wall Street overall
>voted against a very popular sentiment that drugs are too costly
>implying we should tolerate this from our government officials
>implying this complacent 'status quo' mindset is not a major reason Dems lost bigly

The people who aren't establishment shills desperately trying to hold on to power can see that politics as usual isn't working. Fingerpointing isn't going to get Democrats very far.
