So is anything ever going to be done about DigitalIzesty's thread habits?

The only thing that's being done about it are his threads getting locked. That's not how the problem should be solved. The only thing locking thread after thread is doing is either encouraging him to make more spam threads or keep making spam threads to see which ones get locked. I'm not saying he should be banned but he should loose his ability to create threads for a period of time.

If you end up having one locked due to reasons that's not your own fault no matter how many you made you get put on the cool down timer. So you can make a single thread that gets locked and you get put on the timer even though you have 4 other thread creations left.

I would support mini-bans (like 15 minutes long) to cut down on stuff like that. Or maybe just some sort of cooldown period in between creating threads.

Cause people can think of a lot of questions in a short period of time. Some days, I've come up with and posted 10-15 threads with real discussion value.

5 threads in 24 hours means that you can only post one thread every about 4 hours and 50 minutes. Which is a really, really long time to wait. And what if you accidentally create a thread that you didn't mean to create? Then it's one thread every 6 hours. Such a limit would do nothing but piss off a of people if it were placed on everyone.

But if it were placed on users who have been watchlisted for a long time, or are notorious for spamming as a temporary punishment, I think it'd be a good idea.

I think instead of a thread cap it should be a locked thread cap. If you make five or so threads that get locked in a certain time span you should receive a time out/ban.
