Fuck.

He essentially blames the game for having bad tutorials and pacing, but for the first 5 minutes, he just square-block-round-hole'd the basic jumping mechanic and refused to try anything different.

And it's hardly even an issue with his motor-skills.  He made the exact same mistakes over and over and over again, and it was like he refused to learn from it.  Or it actually was a machine-learning AI.

To be a little fair, playing games at a place like a Gamescom booth is pretty distracting: usually standing up, looking down at a tiny screen at a weird angle, with a ton of people making noise and a bunch of lights going off.  I don't think that's nearly a good enough excuse for his lack of basic problem-solving skills, though.

Extremely fun, especially with the new FPP mode.

Crawling in grass is your best friend towards the end of the game: you're practically invisible. I've had people literally standing on me without noticing.

Have they un-neutered Roadhog yet?
PTR at the moment is changing him up to make him a lot more endurable, so they might make him viable once again.
As in more HP?
But he'll still not be able to 1-shot most squishies?

You can stop worrying about grenades now.

Rook's a fat cow.
And in case you were wondering,
you can stop worrying about grenades now.

It's rough.  Sorry, man.

Dunno if this'll apply or help at all, but I dated a girl in college for around 2 years.  We got back together at one point: that worked out horribly and everything bad lingers even if you both think you're above it.  I don't recommend it.

It took me about a year to get over her, which is a lot longer than I feel it should have.  Looking back, I felt like her being around me validated me, and I immediately tried to find people who would, and that was keeping me from moving on.  The most important thing for me to do at the time was learning to be more comfortable with myself.  I was a different person - someone I wanted to be - when I was around her, and that shouldn't be gone just because she is.

Gaming / Re: Mouse settings
« on: July 10, 2017, 06:56:34 PM »
I'm at 900DPI (working on lowering it)
In OW, I'm using 8.0 sens (10 for Tracer though)
In R6 and BF, I go for an ADS reduction of 40%
I've never measured my cm/360, but this online calc says around 19.3

it doesnt have a coiled cable and its still on the taller side of the mouses compared to the rival 100

im not sure any kind of mouse has a coiled cable

sure it has 12000 dpi but i just play 500 and have it as the only setting on my g502 so it doesnt matter anyway

Oops, I meant braided cable.

And yeah, DPI values over like 1200 are artificial and more damaging.  They're only capable of numbers that high for marketing (because bigger numbers = better mouse, obviously).

Max DPI should not be a deciding factor in the mouse, because almost all of them are running the same native DPI (somewhere around 800-1200), and just subdividing the pixels to get more extreme values.  Playing higher than the native leads to more noise/imprecision, so it's best to play below/at native and then crank up in-game sensitivity from there.

Best thing to do is run the mouse at around 800 DPI and adjust with in game sensitivity.

I'm pretty sure the g502 sensor is a bit better (higher inch per sec, higher possible CPI), but at a level that I don't find necessary.  Ex: You wouldn't want to play past around 800-1200 CPI, because you get to a point where the sensor is subdividing the pixels used for that calculation; it ends up adding more error than playing low CPI + high game sensitivity.

Other than that, the 502 has a coiled cable and adjustable weights, which are nicer.  But I find the Rival much better ergonomically.  I had a 502 at work, and found the thing kinda low-profile, comparatively, so I was clutching it weird and it was throwing me off.  Plus, I like the software for SteelSeries better.

Just got it.  I'm definitely behind a metroidvania game that puts this degree of emphasis on timing and zoning *cough Dark Souls comparison*
Currently creaming my jeans over the hand-drawn assets, too.

I imagine Shovel Knight will drop lower, but that's the only thing I'm waiting on.
Other than that, Hollow Knight and Transistor seem pretty decent.

no thanks I'd rather keep my job

my money > my health/mind

if you go outside to chill w/o a cigarette they just say to get back to work

also its a destresser

You're going to put a much bigger dent in your wallet with a habit like that.

Find a better excuse/be sneaker, and find a more wholesome destresser.

Dunno about "evil", but it's pretty funny to see how The Police's Every Breath You Take got so romanticized.
