Would it be wrong for him to get his ass kicked by some hoodrats? Yes. Is it also incredibly stupid to do the joke in the first place, and kind of silly to whine about the repercussions in a very half-assed apology video? Also yes. Journalists are vultures, but they didn't make him do what he did.
So by this rationale, professional comedians should be hounded out by the media every single time they dare to make a mildly off colour joke about jews? Get fucking real, the comedy business would be over in weeks if that was the case. For those that aren't bongs there's this show called Torchwood which is basically an adult spin off of Doctor Who. Most of the episodes are really fucking lame and cheesy but some of the subject matter really fucked with me when I was young, particularly this episode, involving an alien drug addict that uses children as an opiate and prolongs their lives indefinitely in a weird vegetative state. Needless to say, the whole concept of being used as a drug hit for eternity by a slime monster was nightmare fuel to me for several years. Also, this gets a (dis) honourable mention:
