My braces.

I wouldn't be that bothered about them but they're a specialized kind of braces that have two big fuck off metal bars connecting to my front teeth.

Plus I'm nearly 20.

Agreed.

The only place where I'd ultimately draw the line is animals/children. They cannot, and never will be able to conscientiously consent.
So what of somebody that's 17? They are still considered a child. It's not like when midnight strikes and turn 18, they suddenly mature. Gotta be more specific because people as young as 16 should have the right to consent
In the UK it's 16 with parental consent.

In Scotland it's just flat out 16.

16 should pretty much be the rule of thumb for everything bar perhaps alcohol and tobacco.

I don't blame him for leaving.

He gets attacked directly and nothing is done about it. Good job Mods.

It struck me as a joke, if Charlie found it offensive then if he'd have reported it I would have stopped it a long time ago. Or would people prefer that no jabs/jibes/jokes were permitted at all?

Yeah, making fun of someone because they can't have children. Really funny.

What a fracking joke you guys are. I'm bout to come in here and just grill every single one of you based on personal stuff. But if that happened, I'd be banned on the spot.
Since when did the homophobic rape apologist suddenly become sympathetic towards someone?

Please, you know nothing about me or my life. Don't put labels on me.
I know that you're blatantly homophobic and actively trivialize rape. It's not really labeling when you've exemplified that type of behavior.

And now you're suddenly this empathetic samaritan? Lol, be consistent m9.

Then you're an idiot.

I have nothing against gay people nor do I advocate rape. Get over it.
So your hillbilly hick persona was all just a facade?

You're finally admitting it?

I understand you're going through with some tough shit in your life, but a joke isn't really anything to throw your toys out the pram for.

Plus your thread was fairly inflammatory in and of itself too.

Gaming / Re: I can't wait for Battlefront to BTFO of Destiny
« on: October 21, 2014, 07:25:27 PM »
Battlefront needs to be the new current gen game we've all been waiting for. 2014 has been a year of disappointments. Can you even think of five GOTY contenders? Titanfall, Destiny, Watchdogs - all letdowns (I don't play many Indie games so I can't speak for them). These are games that don't have you coming back for more. The only purchase I made that impressed me was Wolfenstein the New Order. Halo 5:Guardians also needs to show us what current gen can really do. But since Battlefront is centered on large scale combat it really needs to go all out.

2014 has been a disappointing year for games. I know the MCC will make up for it, but it is a collection of remasters after all and we know what we're getting. We will be getting a year and a half into the lifespan of these new consoles and can you really say either one of them has a killer app? A lot is riding on Battlefront to me, even though it is still a long ways off.
I wouldn't say it's GOAT or anything, but you should definitely pick up Shadow Of Mordor if you haven't got it already. The Nemesis system alone is worth the money.

But yeah next gen games have been pretty dire over the past year.

Eh, not sure if troll, but I'll bite.

Even science has its flaws.
Which is why the scientific inquiry is constantly expanding and adding to the collective knowledge of the known world around us so we can attempt to eliminate those flaws. It's why we don't use Aristotelian physics in the school curriculum, or in any other educational outlet for that matter.

You believe that at the beginning, there was nothing, and from that an explosion happened?
If that's why you take issue with the Big Bang then why don't you take issue with God's origin? Why is it ridiculous for the universe to come into fruition but it makes complete logical sense for God to just magically come into being?

Science doesn't have all the answers
No, but it's provided us with a lot of them. Religion hasn't provided us with any reputable explanations besides a vague assumption of a despotic sky wizard.

so you can't say that it's more plausible than religion. I just try to live a good life :) Why can't you?
I live a very happy life without religion and god, thank you very much. It's entirely possible, shockingly enough.
I wasn't even trying to get any comments, I just wanted to prove a point!

God damn low lives are writing several replies all over the thread, and I'm not interested in any one of them. Please stop.
So your logic was to post in a sub forum designed for DISCUSSION right enough?

If you want to voice your edgy opinions without conversation, then make a twitter account. Otherwise, fuck off.

No one denies slavery was one of the most abhorrent conducts to have occurred during human history. That being said, anyone that genuinely thinks the entirety of white people TODAY should have to correct or atone for what a few assholes did 300 years ago is pretty much the epitome of autism.

Serious / Re: Your Thoughts on Suicide
« on: October 21, 2014, 03:10:33 AM »
I will never condone, support or approve the notion of ending your own life, but if in an individual REALLY feels like they've exhausted all other alternatives, then I ultimately believe it is completely up to them to exercise that option.

That being said, access to mental health is such a piss take in the Western World. We'd see a lot less suicides if people (both the politicians and the edgy sperglords that adopt fake depression to appear cool) didn't trivialise it.

>not understanding what generalizing is

I was showing how stupid it is to say Obama is the reason why the deficit has decreased by stating that Democrats were in control of Congress when the economy fell. There's more factors than a single person/group when it comes towards this

Now I just wait for your patheitc "hur demeg puntrol" response like the biased person you are

> Presents entire post with details and sources saying why you're wrong
> "It's just a generalization, Obama didn't do anything"

Kinder, if you'd like to debate, be my guest. But actually come here prepared because at this point, unless you have some sources to back up that Democrats didn't successfully lower the deficit, you're wrong in this argument.

Have a good day.
Lol, you're just mad you thought I was being serious. fracking lol. Go cry some more
Holy shit, I don't think I've ever seen such a pathetic response.

You got absolutely smoked m9.
This forum needs a lesson in what a generalizing statement is. Sorry you're butthurt to know what the concept is
