“Bane?” he gasped, with shock and surprise
As he realised his flightplan hadn’t included this guise
How vital was the mask, CIA began to wonder
When it would soon sink in he had made such a blunder

Pain would occur, although the target unclear
Until Bane interjected with CIA’s biggest fear
For when told he was a big guy, Bane responded with glee
That CIA feeling glum is how it would be

But then from behind, another plane appeared in the distance
with Bane adding that he needed Pavel’s assistance
The plan was to crash, with all on board
Presents and all, with Bane’s freedom restored

So Bane sprang from his seat, to his team gave a shout,
And down they all slid into his masterplanned rout
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he rose out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

The Flood / FOR YULE
« on: December 23, 2014, 05:56:53 PM »

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the plane
Not a creature was stirring, not even Bane
The flight plan was filed with the agency with care
CIA knowing the hostages wouldn’t all reach there

The prisoners were kneeling with bags on their heads
With visions of sleighbells and crashing sleds
And CIA in his polo, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap

When out on the clouds there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the seat to see what was the matter.
Away to the aisle I flew like a flash,
Tore open the seatbelt and turned in a dash

After shouting and shooting, and questions of Bane
One interrupted Wilson, with self-satisfied disdain
When, what, from under a hood should appear,
But a man, with a mask, and soon it was clear

Bigger than average, but still under detain,
I knew in a moment it must have been Bane
More rapid than eagles CIA’s surprise came,
And he pointed, and shouted, and called him by name

It doesn't necessarily have to have a deeper meaning, but if a lot of effort is put in to it, you can usually tell. Just looping the same beat/lyric over and over is where trashy pop belongs.
I say it's mostly about the difference between those guys who "wanna be deep and stuff, man" as we as the commercialization of many artists compared to an artist who is just passionate about what they do.

Quote
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

Daily reminder that season 1 is best season.

Best Mountain.

Best political scheming.

Best pacing.

Best dialogue.

S1>S4>S3>S2

Conan was a fucking beast, shame he couldn't reprise his role.
What stopped him? <.<

The new mountain chap certainly seemed more like the mountain in terms of stature but he wasn't really the best actor >_>
He got a role in the Hobbit as Bolg, but Peter Jackson kinda fucked him over and had another actor play a different take on the character.

I thought the S-III's were volunteers who consented to be sent on important but suicidal missions, no? It's been a while since I looked into Halo lore though.
No. S-IIIs were abducted as kids just like the S-IIs. The difference is that they weren't picked based upon their genetics.
S-IIs were children with the best genes, whereas S-IIIs were just any kind of kid.
Ah I see.
They took orphans who had their families killed by the Covenant, if I remember correctly.
It's just that I remember the H:Reach cinematic where teen Carter volunteers to be augmented, so that's where I got the impression from.

It was a promotional ad for the game though, so it could be non canon.
He wasn't a volunteer.
He looks like a consenting adult, not an orphan/kid.
S-IIIs were around 5 or 6 when they were conscripted. Carter was 11.

He had other work that conflicted with the show, namely his role in the Hobbit (Bolg).

Also, aren't S-IV's just Wal-Mart Spartans that can be produced en-mass? They're basically just above average ODST's.

Can we just stop talking about this shit?
Why?
Because I don't see why it needs to continue to be discussed.
Do tell, Max. Just what is it about ethically dubious journalistic practices that does not warrant a discussion? Or do you just want to spam shit about how god awful Republicans are?
Because there's nothing new to talk about. This has all been discussed at length for months now. None of us can/will fix it.
This is pretty much applicable to any political issue.
