I never played the game, I'm just going with what the gaming community have fed back to us. Lot's of people love it. Maybe it is a piece of shit then.

The gameplay being somewhat improved is a positive.
I don't doubt EA's incompetence, I just think you're all jumping the gun here. All we've seen so far is a teaser and two minute trailer of the game. Oh yeah, we're totally jumping the gun. It's not as if EA aren't a bullshit company that's fucked up franchises, right?
Besides, why the fuck are we arguing over publishers? Devs hold the majority of the creative control.
Publishers have a lot of say over creative control if they wish.

ME2 was better from what I heard. At least, that's what the general consensus is anyway.
Yeah, they stagnate their franchises by cash cowing them into oblivion, but like I said to Lemon, their first entries are good games 9 times out of 10, with the occasional fantastic sequel.

ME2 was terrible story wise and way less of an RPG then ME1.

why is Oblivion considered second to Morrowind? it got dumbed down, from my understanding. just like ME1 to ME2. it doesnt help that Oblivion had a weaker plot then Morrowind.
plot does have a place in judging the game, you're being dense if you think otherwise. im not saying ignore gameplay, im saying its a category that should be judged as well.
I'm not derailing anything. You guys come crashing into this thread with your EA picketing and baseless predictions because it's a publisher you find icky. I'm fully aware of EA's unscrupulous business practices, but I like to remain cautiously optimistic on potentially amazing games, especially ones that riveted my childhood. But they're not a completely fallible company.
Not completely, but they're almost there.
Battlefront will very likely get EA-ified.
If they sequel the shit out of it, then yeah probably. But a lot of their first entries are usually pretty good, i.e. Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Dead Space etc.

Halo: Reach had better custom games and while the multiplayer was decent, Halo 2's was better and so was Halo: Reach to some extent. IMO.
Reach had the better Forge, no doubt, but 99% of its custom games took place on one map. There was no variety, and idk, maybe H3 just had a better community for designing maps and games since I had a shit ton more fun on H3 than I ever did on Reach.
