The Flood / Re: Phone recommendations?
« on: February 13, 2015, 10:02:02 PM »
If you actually use a smartphone other than fucking about on apps then get a contract. It's more cost effective if you're actually a smartphone user. Pay as you go is what my 50 year old auntie uses for her 10 quid Nokia.
I'd rather buy the phone in one go and get a contract sim
Uh, why?

You do realise there are contracts out there that don't require upfront payments on the phone? I'm currently on a contract for 29 quid a month for two years which includes unlimited texts, unlimited minutes and two gigs of data. Why the fuck would you want to pay 400+ upfront then 30 quid for two years?
You're implying I'm buying a HTC One
And I can get a contract sim for £10 a month
Well whatever you do buy, a phone contract is cheaper regardless. The beauty of contracts is that they allow you to mix and match the upfront price, minutes, texts and data. Do you text a lot? Get a 20 quid contract with unlimited texts and a fair amount of data and minutes. Browse the internet on the go but don't want to pay an extortionate price? Get unlimited data for 15 quid a month but with shortened minutes and texts. There are dozens of contracts out there that suit whatever your needs are. Your wallet will thank you both in the short and long run.

That is if you actually use a smartphone for smartphone purposes. There's no point shelling out a fortune if you're just going to use it like a tablet.
I'm not looking to shell out for one.
I specifically stated that I'm looking for something reasonably affordable.
Which is why I specifically stated a phone contract is cheaper in both the short and the long run if you know what you want. It is entirely possible to get a contract where you pay nothing upfront then 10 quid a month for two years. Just don't expect extravagant amount of texts, minutes and data.

I wouldn't necessarily say gun control is "a load of bollocks." Totally unrestricted unmonitored access to firearms is just as retarded as the arguments the left tend to make.

I got a HTC One Android a couple months ago to see how it compares to iOS and I've not really had that Android user epiphany that people keep raving on about. Either it's the HTC One itself or Burgerclaps get better software deals, but the only advantage I've come across is battery power. The customisation isn't all that different and some areas are actually kind of clunkier in certain aspects.

Idk, again maybe it's the phone I'm using or I'm just shit at navigating smartphones, but I really don't see the stark difference fanboys from either side keep parroting.

Yeah he's right, but it doesn't need to be parroted in every single fucking thread that mentions Fallout. It's really just beating a dead horse at this point.

Not to mention that the game has a few, not much, but a few positive aspects to its name.
You are incorrect.
Ugh, here we go. "STOP LIKING WHAT I DONT LIKE. MY OPINION IS THE GOSPEL TRUTH"

Like, this is why I take caution posting here. Gaming really has become the shitposting hub of Sep7.

Could've sworn the general consensus here was that F3 sucks ass.

Not that I disagree, but a little consistency goes a long way.

Fuk this is so weird

I literally had a dream about this last night and Tobey was recast again

Tobey Maguire was objectively better than Andrew Garfield.
100% agreed

IIRC Garfield's a raving SJW who wanted to fuck with the source material by turning Spider-Man gay in the films. Not that I have a problem with gay characters, but it's better to create new ones instead of fucking with existing well known characters, especially someone like Spider-Man. I'd have the same issue if they tried to turn a well established gay character straight.

5877
Third wave feminism is shit

But

That movie does convey abuse and rape as kink and BDSM

It's pretty shit
All points that I don't disagree with.

But the film still has a right to exist on the legal level for people who are into that sort of stuff. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with rape fantasies as long as it remains in fantasy.

Topqeq. Quick update on the debate. Multiple mutual 'friends' have now blocked me on Facebook simply for disagreeing with the feminist narrative. I've also been accused of 'being disrespectful to women' for calling their argument (not them) retarded.

Holy fuck lol, the lunatics have escaped the asylum.

Basketball and skater shoes guys, really? Are you all 12?
What shoes do you wear?
Running styles/Adidas Sambas for casual wear and Chukka boots if I'm on a night out.
