While based bobby B in his prime is arguably the best fighter in Westeros, or at the very least, a top tier fighter, I still don't think it'd be a fair match up.
Really though, what are his notable fighting feats besides BTFOing Rhaegar at the Trident? He's a fantastic battle commander sure, but it's not really relevant considering this is a 1v1 fight.
I'm sure Robert would be a considerable challenge for Aragorn, but he'd probably just be another Uruk-Hai to him, albeit slightly armored.

he still fucking died against three Generals while Aragorn solo'd FOUR Nazgul at once. Eh, it was a cool feat, but I'd hardly call it a "solo." He only really drove them off and had to employ the use of fire in the fight. It was more of a circumstantial result rather than a testament of Aragorn's fighting skills. Keep in mind that not even Arwen or Gandalf could handle the Nazgul.

Where in the OP is this stated?
What fucking thread do you even think you're on right now?
This is why I used the word implicit. If the OP really did not intend to include that implicit question, (which I actually think they did, so I'm not going to fault them for your own argument), then either: a) They are using this forum as a soapbox and not as a forum for discussion, and they should get a blog. b) This thread is spam, akin to the people who post stupid lyrics threads in the flood. But again, I actually don't think this thread is either of those two things, because there is an implied call for users' thoughts.
I'm not even sure what the fuck you're trying to say at this point. You're probably digressing this discussion the most out of all of us.

Alright, nerd sperg out incoming:
Aragorn hands down.
I get that people love Jon as a Luke Skywalker archetype, but he's not even a top tier fighter in the GoT universe, let alone a feasible contender for Aragorn. A better match up would be Barristan Selmy or Jaimie Lannister, but even then that would still be scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Aragorn has battled orcs and goblins, Uruk-hai and Ringwraiths, and has fought and led Men into numerous battles, both large and small, including the Battle of the Hornburg, and the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. He is also descended from a legendary race of Man, The Numenoreans. His bloodline is evident when one considers that during the events of The Lord of the Rings, he is already over 80 years of age, meaning 80 years experience as a ranger and a swordsman.
Jon Snow is 15 at the beginning of Game Of Thrones. Sure, he showed expert strategic skill during the Battle of Castle Black, but it wasn't anything Aragorn couldn't accomplish, not to mention he had height superiority and help from the Mannis. He's also a decent swordsman but he's no where near the tier of Barristan, Arthur Dayne, or Jaimie Lannister, who I also doubt would be able to fare against Aragorn.
I think what it boils down to is the different writing styles Martin and Tolkein employ. Martin grounds his universe in a very realistic gritty setting where good doesn't necessarily always triumph over evil. Tolkein on the other hand, establishes his universe amongst fantastical heroes and gods, where good always triumphs over evil. The latter will always beat the former.

OP asked a question. If he didn't intend to ask a question at all I'm not sure OP understands how forums work and maybe he should consider getting a blog instead
Please elaborate on this elusive question OP asked. I'm really struggling to find it.
"Thoughts?" "What is your opinion?" "How do you feel about this?" etc. Pick whichever you like

That's not relevant feedback at all. It's cluttering the discussion with pointless whining. I don't find Meta's dense economic threads particularly interesting, but you don't see me spamming them with "hurr durr this is boring."
Posts like this, this, this, this and countless others do not further a line of discussion and are still perfectly relevant responses to a thread. Every discussion thread has an implicit call out at the end of "what do you think about this?", and they're simply answering your question.
Back and forths like this on the other hand actually do clutter the discussion but no one gives a fuck nor should they because forums like this exist for the sole purpose of catering to what the users want to post about
tl;dr please don't get offended when some people don't care, and only strawmen say hurr durr
It's not a response to anything, seeing as how OP didn't ask a question. It's just simple courtesy to not clutter a thread you deem illegitimate, boring or vacuous with vapid responses. It's your prerogative to ignore threads like those. It isn't your prerogative to stifle discussion and act like schoolyard children.

I think a combination of being both fat and having a shit personality contributes to unattractiveness. Like, you can be a complete arsehole but be ripped AF and girls will still find you aesthetically pleasing. You have to try a bit harder if you're overweight/not so easy on the eyes but have a great personality. It's just a fact unfortunately.

I really don't see why people feel the need to respond if they find the topic "boring." Either put in your two cents or stop cluttering the discussion. It's really that simple.
that was their two cents
they provided valid relevant feedback about their opinion on the subject

Yeah Gawker have also lost millions in ad revenue due to lack of internet traffic as well. I think we've really backed these guys into a corner what with the pathetic attempt to DDOS 8chan and PC Gamer's apology and updated code of ethics. We've still got a long way to go, but we're definitely making progress.

the whole reason the Xenomorphs are called Xenomorphs
...Um, well, they're kind of not, though. At least not officially.
Uh yeah it was. The first mention of the word "Xenomorph" was used in the extended edition of Aliens. The word was never used once in Alien.

Eh I can understand the appeal what with Fincher attempting to recapture the tone of the first movie even though I personally didn't enjoy it.
I think it was a really bad decision. The very nature of the 2nd film makes it very hard to be be scared by a lone Xenomorph. Cameron's film turned Michael Myers in space into a more typical action movie villain. Rather than trying to make up for this, they really should have gone in a new direction.
>bashing the film that made the franchise Ugh here we go. "NOD MUH DROO HORUR" I really don't see what the big issue is with expanding the already established universe, upping the ante, and adding a more cinematic value to the film that was never there in the previous one. Yeah sure, it's not scary or atmospheric, (not that the first film was entirely scary anyway, but I guess that's just an opinion) but the whole reason the Xenomorphs are called Xenomorphs, and the fact that we have all this contemporary science fiction that was took inspiration from the franchise (including Halo) is because of Aliens.

Alien 3 was really good though.
Eh I can understand the appeal what with Fincher attempting to recapture the tone of the first movie even though I personally didn't enjoy it. Killing off Newt and Hicks was a bad decision though, IMO, not to mention the poor send off Ripley got. Alien Resurrection is a piece of shit though, I think we can all agree on that.

why ruin the thread?
"It's bad because it was posted on reddit!"
That's not how it works, that sounds like something someone on their first week of /b/ would say. I don't even use reddit, but I know enough to realise that you get shit posted pretty much everywhere. It's not exclusive to a site someone else told you not to like.
I haven't been "told" to like anything. Sure I'll give it props for the occasional funny post or solid discussion link every once in a while, but more often than not it's riddled with insufferable liberal humour and le epin puns and yamyams. I outgrew most of it when I turned 17.
>using the default subs.
But I never used the default subs even when I was a prominent user of the site. I used to browse /r/halo, /r/gameofthrones and /r/breakingbad. It was pretty much tantamount to all the other subreddits. "hurr look at this [insert creative thing here] I did" and unfunny puns.
