You don't need to be such a condescending asshole about it.Ah I dun goof'd.Are we supposed to take this guy seriously? I'm still sticking to what I said. I don't see how politicizing this tragedy and using it to further your own agenda makes you any better than the gunfags and /k/ommandos who paint Sandy Hook as one big gubment conspiracy. 4383
The Flood / UN game: Game of Thrones edition.« on: June 22, 2015, 05:02:09 PM »Taking inspiration from the Fallout thread. No specific setting, so that means less restrictions on what factions you can pick e.g. Brotherhood without Banners can exist at the same time as the Targ Dynasty. Speaking of which, factions don't necessarily have to be houses either. You can also have splinter factions of the original factions that they're based off of, but you cannot begin in the same starting territory. E.g. The three Baratheon brothers are all optional factions you can choose, as are the Blackfyres. However, every major province starts off at their default warden settings, e.g. Starks in the North, Targs in the Crownlands, Baratheons (if Robert is lord) in the Stormlands etc. Wardens can be usurped. Game takes place in Westeros, so no Essos based factions. (It'd be weird for the Dothraki to start pillaging the Riverlands or some shit) Every 10 pages spans a season. The first 10 pages starts off during summer. Seasons affect how much resources you can acquire as well the economy. Game begins after the 1st page. Choose your house, province, lord, economy (if your faction is large enough) and religion Factions: Madman Mordo - House Baratheon (Lord Of Light edition) Province - Dragonstone Lord - Stannis Baratheon Religion - Lord Of Light Economy - N/A Map colour - red Maverick - House Tyrell Province - The Reach Lord - Mace Tyrell Religion - The Faith of the Seven Economy - Feudalism Map colour - green Tryptameme - House Lannister Province - Casterly Rock Lord - Tywin Lannister Religion - Faith of the Seven Economy - Feudalism and Trade Map colour - yellow Night's Watch - Mr Psy Province - Gift and the Wall Lord - Jeor Mormont Religion - Seven + Old Gods + N/A Economy - N/A Map colour - black Meta Cognition - House Targaryen Province - Crownlands/King's Landing Lord - Aerys Targaryen Religion - Faith of the Seven Economy - King's Landing with significant trade benefits being the biggest city in the realm (followed by Oldtown in the Reach and then Lannisport in the Westerlands), with numerous crafts being practised. Apart from King's Landing, fishing and farming are the norm as well as heavy forestry. The Crownlands also has concentrations of market towns and trading towns. Map colour - orange Pip - House Stark Province: The North Lord: Eddard Stark Religion: Old Gods of the Forest Economy: Fuedalism Map colour - grey Azumarill - House Martell Province: Dorne Lord: Doran Martell Religion: The Faith of the Seven Economy: Feudal Geopolitical climate so far: Moderators: Maverick Myself Meta Cognition 4384

I could moderate if you need someone unbiased that knows the universe well. Or I'd be down to play. What's a UN game?Text based game where users choose a political faction, real or fictional, and try to acquire resources/land realistically. 4385

Personally I've never found them that interesting, but I think a GoT iteration would be sweet seeing as how the universe fits the frameworks of the game perfectly. 4386

I think this would be a pretty cool idea, taking inspiration from the Fallout UN game. ASOIAF is literally the perfect universe for power struggles.
Any mods want to integrate this thread into another? I've never moderated a UN game before, so I wouldn't know what to do. I'm just happy playing. Just some food for thought. Bored as fuck. 4389

Crude rate for blacks in the same year is 0.34. I still stand by my statement about the people trying to politicize this though. 4392

You and I probably agree on most things, especially when it comes to culture, but using the absolute numbers isn't very satisfying. What we should care about is if black people are dying disproportionately at the hands of the police, which they are: I get a different statistic from the CDC. (Select Legal intervention between 1999 and 2013 and choose either whites or blacks. It won't allow me to directly link the data.) 4397

People were murdered because they were black, that's pretty much the whole story. I'm simply drawing attention to the despicable pricks trying to further their own agenda out of their deaths. 4398

I mean yeah, it's a fucking tragedy, but one stormfag is hardly something that gets me quaking in my boots. If there's any race wars going on, it certainly isn't just blacks who are the victims. The route has already been gone down when 9 people were gunned down for the color of their skin.I'm not "downplaying" anything. I'm paying my respects to the victims without furthering some kind of agenda. Can't really say the same for the leftists trying to galvanize a movement on the corpses of a select few.9 people died.9 people were murdered. In an attempt to start a "race war". This is the problem with you leftists. It only takes one solitary incident that coincides with your rhetoric and you're all over it like fucking flies to a corpse, completely neglecting all the other issues that demographics other than the black population face. 4399

Gurrm has explicitly stated that Jon is one of the five or so characters that A Song of Ice and Fire revolves around. It'd be weird for him to just sever his story arc so prematurely. He's good at inverting tropes, not disregarding integral plot points.
As for the show, D&D are just hacks. 4403
