Would save you the inevitable disappointment. That is the impression I'm gettingI never watched GoT personally.don’t For all the shit we talk about it, when it does peak it's ultra kino. Shame it was run into the ground by a duo of incompetents. 274
The Flood / Re: Disney's 'Star Wars': The Rise of Skywalker« on: December 20, 2019, 02:59:02 PM »
Not to be 'that guy' but the more time goes on the more this franchise starts to get horrifically overrated for me.
I'm not just including the sequel and prequel trilogy in that category. Even rewatching the originals I can't help but feel that there's nothing much going on. Not just thematically, but in terms of entertainment value as well. Sometimes I can get through about 30 minutes of ANH and even Empire before my attention starts waning. I actually think Return is probably the best in the whole saga notwithstanding the dreadful Ewok scenes. Lukes confrontation with Vader and Palpatine alone totally compensates for what's kind of a generic space opera franchise. Credit where credits due though, it was a cool concept that invigorated a genre of odyssey sci fi in the late 70s but it really hasn't aged all that well IMO. Haven't seen ROS yet but I've read the plot spoilers it and it sounds really half baked. So here's my ranking until I see it I suppose: Return > Empire > Revenge (not because its a good film but the memery we got from it lands it a spot here) > ANH > Force Awakens > Phantom > Rogue One > Clones > subatomic dog shit > TLJ Still haven't seen Solo. 275

So basically, Boris' half baked lEtS gEt bReXiT dOne slogan actually resonated more with working class communities than it did with Corbyn's manifesto which was literally engineered to benefit them in every way possible.
"But the man with the funny hair says those racist things I enjoy!" Mutants. 277

This game is honestly a breath of fresh air. I can't remember the last time I had extensive dialogue options and branching path choices in an RPG. Refreshing af.
My only nitpickety gripe would be that the gunplay could be a bit tighter, but I guess I'm just too accustomed to Borderlands 3 and Apex. 281

It was pretty great. Some hammy and questionable scenes (the Mexican standoff in particular) but overall a solid conclusion to his arc.

No matter which side of the political aisle you stand on, how could anyone in the UK not see this as a national embarrassment. 287

Actually the more I think about it the more I realise the 2010s was actually a really shitty decade for TV.
2000s had Sopranos, Rome, Deadwood and The Wire as its hallmarks of television . Absolute peak kino TV. Excluding miniseries and standalone seasons the 2010s really only has GoT as its decade definer, if we're going by the metric of cultural impact. I probably wouldn't even count BB because it kicked off at the back end of the 2000s. 288
The Flood / Re: Nearly 4 months left of the 2010s my bro's« on: September 03, 2019, 02:20:24 PM »
I find it hilarious how no one's mentioned GoT as a whole.
Had the potential to be legendary tier and would have made my list had it not utterly shat the bed post season 5. 289
The Flood / Re: Nearly 4 months left of the 2010s my bro's« on: September 03, 2019, 02:15:10 PM »It kind of surprises me that it's become so popular on this forum: I saw it in an empty theater and two people in my party fell asleep through it.It had to compete with It which absolutely annihilated the box office, and its marketing campaign was absolutely abysmal. I think I saw maybe one Facebook trailer and that mini YouTube snippet with Jared Leto, and that's only because I was really anticipating this movie and was clued in on its development. Plus I don't think its runtime helped appeal to the brainlet normies so it's not really a shock to me why it performed so poorly. 290

And to clarify, I disagree with Corbyn on myriad issues, but I think the frothing at the mouth Tory hysteria over the possibility of a Corbyn government has gotten really fucking obnoxious lately.

Serious / Re: Just fuck my Brexit up« on: September 02, 2019, 01:38:38 AM »I seriously hope you’re not insinuating that Corbyn has not gone on the record praising a country that lacks basic qualities of life, because he most certainly has.He specifically said that the future of Venezuela is a matter for the Venezuelans. Tory pundits flipped their lids and took this as "Maduro's regime is a utopia that we should all try to emulate" without actually trying to ascertain what he meant. If anything it was more of a critique of Western intervention rather than outright appraisal of socialism.Have you got any other opinions other than a complete regurgitation of a boomer Facebook page? Next time, try to find a source of information that isn't one of Ben Shapiro's podcasts. 294
Serious / Re: Just fuck my Brexit up« on: September 01, 2019, 03:25:11 PM »I mean, the man does use Venezuela as a country of how "socialism works" yet still lacks the necessities of toilet paper, diapers, and juice boxes. Out of all the countries in the world he wants to model Venezuela....Have you got any other opinions other than a complete regurgitation of a boomer Facebook page?At least these Tories are being honest about being a group of elite autocrats, but they don't really have a leg to stand on anymore when they call Corbyn a radical who wants to undermine our democracy. 295
