No, you actually got broken into 3 different empires after losing a war to byrne. One of which ended up joining his empire, another joined up with ender, and your main one stayed independent until byrne decided he wanted everything he didn't take from you.

I think it was mainly due to bad positioning at the start. You were boxed in and couldn't really expand anywhere which let Byrne run over you because he was able to expand down his spiral arm for a bit until he hit me and tru.
Also he had more habitual planets in his territory than you.
huh Is there a way to determine where empires start so they all begin with equal resources/space or is it just luck of the draw?

The entire Faceless Men arc has been utterly pointless. She hasn't even learned anything sans a couple of martial arts lessons.
