There are over 3 million Muslims in the US, and over a billion worldwide. If the religion was truly the root cause of violence done by Muslims, I think you'd see a lot more attacks. A lot more.
So it's just a wild coincidence that the vast majority of terrorist attacks in the past 20 years have been Islamic?

It doesn't really directly impact my life in any meaningful way so I don't really give a fuck about it one way or the other.
I mean, I'll still vehemently disagree with its tenets and the way it treats women and minorities in predominately Islamic countries and communities, but I'm not going to shit the bed if I meet a Muslim irl or anything.

The whole point of the series is humanity's ultimately flawed and squabbling nature. Nobody in Westeros sans the Nights Watch knows or even believes the threat of the WW, and even if they did, the political differences would make it practically impossible for the armies to unite.
Bad writing is Jaime, the Blackfish and Walder Frey magically setting aside their differences because an ogre woman (who doesn't have any proof mind you) told them ice zombies are coming.

I'd generally consider myself to be a proponent of more stringent gun control in the US, but c'mon, gun control didn't stop the Paris attackers from obtaining kalashnikovs and slaughtering 130 people in November 2015.
Yeah, the one mass shooting Paris has had in forever as opposed to the double digit numbers the US gets every single year.
"You can't stop it from happening", says the only country where it regularly happens.
And I never said (nor do I think anyone thinks) gun control would fix all of the issues. I said in another thread that no one answer is the answer. But to think something will change when we continue to do nothing, is the definition of insanity.
I literally just said I'm not categorizing you in that way, as it helps when you don't cherry pick people's arguments. Your post was framed like harder gun laws could've prevented this, and I'm merely clearing up the misconceptions for anyone uneducated on this issue that happens to stumble upon your post. Gun regulation in the US needs to be changed, absolutely, but it doesn't prevent atrocities like this if someone has the motive.

I read somewhere that the disastrous financial projections of Remain only works under the assumption that the British government would do nothing in response to a Brexit. Even then, the Treasury forecasts a 0.1% reduction in GDP for the next four quarters if we left the European Union, in comparison to the 08 recession which lead to a 7% reduction in GDP. The latter did not result in 50 gorillion jobs being lost.
There's obviously lying on both sides but the fearmongering from Remain has been outright comical.

The suggestion that the EU forced mass immigration on the UK which ruined "the poor" without recognizing that (as far as I'm aware) just about all economic research has established that EU immigration has been very beneficial for the UK's economy, is negligible for the British "poor" in the sense of not raising wages or stealing jobs, and that EU immigrants contribute, on average, more to the UK's funds while relying less on British welfare than actual Britons. Not to cherry pick or anything but this is a pretty patent conflation of mass immigration and immigration in general. Nobody apart from the hard right thinks that immigration alone is a net negative. What most eurosceptics and critics posit that, on the whole, mass immigration on the level we have seen since the early 90s has been ridiculously difficult to manage, to the point where first and second generation immigrants are no longer assimilating. I'm not an economist, so I'm not going to present myself as an expert on that particular field, but there clearly needs to be discussions had about the cultural and social aspects of immigration the UK has been experiencing for the past 20 years or so, not just economically.

Why is everyone saying Arya's story was pointless? She got assasin's training. She's not tethered to the Many Faced God and is heading back with her list intact. She may not be able to face swap, but she is skilled enough to defeat a MFG assasin. That puts her in the top tier of warriors. Also, she's been sequestered for all of the Westerosi plot developments. She won't see Any Lannisters as anything but evil. She'll just go to town killing them. And with her training, really only the Mountain could take her.
Her 'training' can be summarized in a couple of martial arts lessons at best. If she really is this uber deadly assassin then the show runners didn't do a very good job of exemplifying it. The faceless men arc was hyped up to be this major character transformation for Arya but she never really gained anything from the experience sans being (temporarily?) blinded and stabbed by the Waif who clearly has some sort of hate boner for her even though Faceless Men aren't supposed to display emotion. There was so many possibilities they could've ran with. Hell, I heard a theory couple weeks back that the Waif is some sort of Tyler Durden split personality character of Arya. Literally anything to show some semblance of character transgression would've sufficed but instead what we got was two seasons of filler to beat us over the head at how stronk and fierce she is, an irritating trend I'm seeing in the female characters of the show.
