In the books there's a character named Coldhands that a lot of fans think is Benjen Stark, but GRRM told his editor that it's not. Yet in the show Coldhands is Benjen. This is precisely why I have a slight inkling of doubt about this. That and how they've treated the Dorne plotline makes me sceptical of how accurate the show is at this point.

A lot of Scots feel culturally and economically homogeneous with the rest of the UK, and enjoy having two identities, Scottish and British like myself. Why they feel the same about the EU is beyond me.

Slightly offtopic but what the fuck happened to the Sons of The Harpy plotline? It seemed like they were building up to some sort of twist in episode 1 but then nothing came of it.
I guess the slavers were funding them all along? Shocker.
a bunch of them got killed and the rest stopped rebeling because their masters got BTFO when they tried to seige kings landing. It was in the bastard bowl episode i think
I seem to recall a conversation in S6 episode 1 between Tyrion and Varys that was building up to some sort of mysterious figure funding the Harpys. S5 was also dropping mad hints that someone in Dany's council is a secret Harpy agent. I guess that plot point was just dropped at the expense of more ebin stronk womyn dany scenes then.
It was always the Masters and there was no secret agent. The rest of the Harpies were killed by the Dothraki on the beach.
Their plot line was neatly tied up

S5 heavily alluded to the fact that someone in Dany's council was secretly colluding with the Harpys, then in S6 episode 1 Tyrion and Varys were discussing how they should go about uncovering this secretive figure. After that it kind of just got dropped for naked Dany scenes and dragon riding.
Yeah, no fucking shit the masters were behind it. SotH are literally masters and noblemen themselves. The story arc was clearly building up to something much more than that however, and then it just completely disintegrated for whatever reason.

Eh, at least S6 was mildly entertaining in a normie sort of way even if it completely missed the mark of what the whole universe is all about. S5 was just laughably bad.
Idk why HBO are so adamant on rushing their biggest show. Not only would it make more business sense to extend the series as much as possible to incorporate everything, but for artistic reasons as well.
They've got a monumental universe to work with, it's a shame that they consider fleshing out plotlines as "padding".

Well, that was a somewhat disappointing finale. Was expecting something a bit more cataclysmic, like the wall going down for instance, but oh well.
R+L=J was so hyped up that it basically surprised no one.
Bran's story arc was essentially just subtle exposition.
Arya is now apparently Nightcrawler.
Jon's king in the north scene was such a pandering to the fans it was borderline cringey.
Kings landing was pretty good though, so I guess there's that.
Dorne + Tyrell + Dany = RIP in piece Cersei.
I'm left here wondering how Euron factors in to all this.
