Yeah, shoulda just melee'd or knifed. Don't ever rely on the bayonet unless you have to.
Melee is just plain random in general. Sometimes I get a one hit kill with a shanking animation, other times I'll slightly damage players.
Maybe it's because I'm using the default knife but the stats are pretty much all the same so idk.
If you hit them from behind it should do the OHK animation, if you hit them from the front or near-side then it slashes them ala BF3 where you do X amount of damage depending on your tool of choice.
Pretty sure I've straight up disembowelled someone from the front before though.

I don't understand how anyone can enjoy Amiens. It's such a poorly designed map where you can get jumped by anyone with a shotgun/assault class and there's nothing you can do about it unless you're a sentry/fire trooper. I guess I just enjoy clusterfuckness.
