Gaming / Re: Breath of the Wild Thread - Play it on Wii U Instead
« on: March 07, 2017, 09:13:06 PM »
Goddamn there's just so much to do in this game, but it feels like the main story can't keep up at all. Both beasts I've completed so far have been extremely easy, and I can't really see the castle being a big spike. There's a lot of difficult upgrades to get, but I just don't really see a point, especially if you can't continue playing after the end.
That's why I'm exploring more than doing the story and I will hold off on defeating Gannon until I've done everything else. Also. You can play after beating the game. I won't say anymore than that since some might consider it a spoiler.

Just a reminder that Wikileaks is an information laundering source used by countries like China and Russia to legitimize and weaponize propaganda stolen from US citizens and institutions.
To make us like them and not our own country? Well, I don't pay much attention to Wikileaks, but if Russia wants to release this, good on them. CIA shouldn't be spying on everyone, especially their own people.

This is Propaganda 101

There is, as of yet, no corroborating evidence that this is true, and probably without reading anything except maybe this article at most, you've already espoused the idea that 1) the CIA spies on citizens using this techniques, and illegally, 2) these techniques are bad, and 3) that it's good for our enemies to do this.
Well, there was PRISM awhile back, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is true.

Movie was so brutal. Enjoyed it though.

Spoiler
Hate that Charles and Logan died though. Also. Rice explained they stopped the mutations occurring so no more people would be born with mutant powers but what happened to all the other mutants? Storm, Cyclops, etc... Wolverine stopped the Sentinels in Days of Future Past, but shit. This new timeline he created isn't much better. The entire population wasn't killed since the sentinels are gone, but most mutants are gone now. So it really didn't work out any better for them lol.

I dunno about you but Horizon Zero Dawn looks amazing. And it's more now about the small details. Take Uncharted 4. Sure, just by looking at it, it's a great looking game. But look at the small details. The hair, the skin, interactivity with objects, etc...

I'm getting close to the end. I thought the big reveal of how the world ended was a bit more unique than usual. But depressing. Still more I learn too. Also. This game is pretty challenging. Even on normal. The Thunderjaw? Holy fuck. I was expecting him to shoot from the middle launchers on his side and charge at me. But he does way more than that. When I heard the sound of his weapons charging it sent my heart racing. Fuck the Thunderjaw. It's the machine on the cover art if you didn't know.

Also this.

Another guys on Trump's team, maybe Flynn, had a lot of connections with some rich guy who supported a Pro-Russian president in Ukraine. Something like that. She had a whole video dedicated to it.

Wow, 98 on Metacritic. Not many games hit 90+ anymore. I'll be getting it on my Switch which SHOULD come in tomorrow. Hope the framerate issues aren't too bad. If the Switch is having problems though, hate to see what it's like on the Wii U.

World map compared to Skyrim and other Zeldas. I wouldn't consider it a spoiler, there's like no map legend or icons. It's literally empty, it shows the land and that's it. I hope the map is more like other games in the actual game.

Spoiler

I've uh, been playing a bit of Horizon. Pretty good. Looks great. Runs so smoothly and it's so fun. It can actually be challenging too. I'm not sure how Easy is, but even on Normal you can't just faceroll through stuff. It's not hard, but it's not easy enough for you to bullshit through either. My friend is playing on Very Hard and he said, it's pretty dang hard. I didn't want to do that to myself on my first play through though.

And y'all fucking tell me I'm crazy.
Well that's because this is plausible. Saying there's chemtrails, the government did 9/11, vaccines are bad, etc... Not so much.

As for the OP. Yeah. No surprise. Both sides do shady shit. But understand. A lot of people like what Trump is doing. They want all 11 million illegals kicked out. They want that wall. They want to be more isolationist/protectionist, etc...

it's not like the people of the DPRK were going to see a cent from it anyway
This is only going to make things worse for the already crumbling North Korea. The people will suffer more because of it. Can't wait till the leader is taken out or something.

User scores there are cancer. Get the fuck out of here with that shit. It's one thing to not care for a game, maybe because you're not a fan of the genre for example, but when a game is getting reviews like this, more than likely... It's good. I heard some of the sidequests were just kinda eh. But the main story is really good. And there's lots of extra stuff for you to dig up and find instead of having it handed to you. Also the ending, it at least a point halfway in the game is pretty cool. Like why there's robots and how the world fell is an amazing revelation. Good to here GG came up with something good. Also. The combat is being praised all over. It feels good, it's smooth, it's tactical, and it's fun. I see nothing not to like.

"Rebalance" takeaways

-They're going to tone down the button bloat

-They'd like to raise the skill floor ("During the course of the 3.X series and the introduction of more actions the action rotation that was necessary for high DPS became very complex so we started seeing a big gap form regarding the skilled and casual players and we wanted to bring up the bottom.")

-They'd like to add job specific UIs for managing your debuffs on targets.
All I heard was Othard, sorry.

Trump: "Number One, I am the LEAST anti-Semitic person you have ever seen in your entire life. Number two: racism, the least racist." 1:05:00

Someone needs to murder that man's tailor, though.
He has Jews and Blacks working for him. I don't think he is racist. Afraid of Muslims, definitely. But hey, maybe he just doesn't want a Europe over here. I won't pretend to know much about that epidemic over there, nor am I afraid of Muslims. But have you seen the videos of them? It's horrible. Literally hundreds of people in huge crowds attacking officers, lifting the skirts of women, beating women, hitting cars, destroying property, etc...

It's long, but I watched the entire thing. I've never seen such a mad president.

354
The story is my only issue with the game really. The gameplay is just so fun. It's so smooth and emergent. And tons of small details. It's one of the best looking games of this generation too, right next to Uncharted 4.

Serious / Re: Slippery slope is not a fallacy

I'm talking about plain evil people. People who kill for joy, or to steal, and it's definitively proven they did do it.

Really?

Because you suggested that everyone accused of murder should be executed tomorrow, even with a risk of false convictions.

Now we've gone to "Definitive proof they did it"
I did say that. But do not take things so literally. It would be common sense to go about it in a way that only includes those where it is absolutely proven. Heck, I'm sure just re-examining a lot of cases would help get rid of some of the innocent people. No telling how much of it was from racism and things like that.

You know what I mean. Of course soldiers wouldn't be included. If someone is trying to break into your house and points a gun at you and you kill them, they shouldn't be included either. Manslaughter too. Killing someone in a wreck is not in your control. I'm talking about plain evil people. People who kill for joy, or to steal, and it's definitively proven they did do it.

Oh I guarantee if they did what I say here violent crime would drop. It is my belief that if you take a life, yours no longer matters. A life for a life. I think I read there are 180,000 people in US prisons for murder. That's a whole lot, but you know what? I would have absolutely no problem if everyone of them was executed tomorrow. Killing nearly 200,000 people sounds awful. But it's retribution for all the lives they took.
It all sounds good and fine until you remember that wrongful arrest and conviction is a thing that can very well happen to you and a National Academy of Sciences study shows us that one out of every 25 people executed by the state were later, posthumously, found innocent and wrongfully sentenced.
I read that a lot of people confess to being guilty to crimes they are not guilty of. Forgot why they do that though. That could have something to do with it.

And I know it's extreme guys. But it's simple. In my mind if you kill someone, you don't deserve to live anymore and should be killed yourself.
