This is only going to make things worse for the already crumbling North Korea. The people will suffer more because of it. Can't wait till the leader is taken out or something.

The people living in NK are already smaller than the people living in SK, despite living in the same area. The NK government having less money is going to result in poorer conditions for the regular people.

Honestly I don't see how it could really get much worse for the people of North Korea at this point, regardless of how much money is in the state coffers.

I doubt NK will last for long in these conditions. Communism is self-defeating in nature, and the sanctions we have against NK will only speed up the government's collapse. Now it's just a waiting game on how prideful the ruling party is, took the USSR several decades after the fact to admit the system was shit, it'll be interesting to see how long it takes NK.

I dunno, the government might be crazy enough to take someone with them before they collapse.

But even China is really getting sick of their shit, because South Korea and China have a pretty great trading relationship and both have a common agreement that they're not too fond of Japan (of course China loathes them. Korea is more so annoyed with them).

So China is in this awkward position of supporting a nation that's the key enemy of South Korea... while also having a rather nice relationship with South Korea (though that's been strained last year due to the missile defense thing from the US)
