As for the more general relentless offended stance, I'd say that one is down to a mixture of coming from a culture where it is unquestioned and dogma (The two are linked). If you drop a spoiled brat into a regular school, they are going to face some harsh realities about everyone else on the planet not dancing to their tune. I hope that makes some sort of sense >.>

Why not just combine Elsewyr and Valenwood? The two provinces combined are about the same size as Skyrim.
Why not have both in the same game, Skyrim sized.

As someone with no next gen consoles, possibly not even getting one for the next two years.
I hope they drop the last gen as soon as possible, it's holding them back too much.
I think 2015 is the last year for full 3rd party support of the old gen hardware, which is good. They don't want to just write off a massive consumer base, but it is holding back games significantly - especially when you have companies trying to do 5 platform releases simultaneously because the strain is really showing through.

Every Pokemon game is always the same, is it not? Also, Gen 1 is the best.
They follow a similar formula but they aren't just clones of the previous generation of games. Some generations add more than others, like Gen 3 brought full colour and a lot more animation along with contests and the battle frontier. Gen 4 wasn't really all that ground breaking. Gen 5 is where they went for a proper story with some more interesting characters like N and Ghetsis along with the 3D stuff starting to appear. Gen 6 introduced a few gimmicky things and a few great things and streamlined a lot of the older mechanics to make the game a lot more enjoyable <.< Then with ORAS, probably the two biggest changes are freedom of flying where you fly around Hoenn on the back of Latios/Latias and land wherever you like (within reason) and the DexNav which allows you to seek out specific pokemon and try to capture them with a new mechanic.
