Being smart isn't really a gift imo. It opens your eyes to a lot of bullshit and it's not like everyone can realize how smart you are. The problem is that a lot of people just aren't intelligent enough to pick up on certain things, which is obviously why they're unintelligent in the first place. Unintelligent people will think they're smart too, but they don't have to suffer through the bullshit of dealing with unintelligent thoughts like intelligent people do.

And you can even look around some more for more places to pay a visit to. Cause you've walked by a fuckload and a half of various directions to take.
I have no idea what you're talking about. I back tracked every inch of this game so many times. I just feel like my only option is battle ridiculously hard enemies or just try to get the crest.

I have no idea what to do right now in dark souls. I guess I will just have to level grind for 20000 souls to get the fucking door crest. I beat the gargoyles, I beat the moonlight butterfly, I beat the night that was guarding the tunnel in the forest basin. So basically it seems like my only options are battle that fucking heavily armored thing with the giant club, go into that cave in the forest basin and go down to the place with the impossible to beat dragons, or try to go to the catacombs. I don't feel like I am powerful enough to do that and I am past level 30 at this point. I level grinded a fuck.

I upped my strength multiple times, I maxed out my armor and weapons in levels, I upped my fucking HP, I still can't get through the forest without dying because of packs of those stupid fucking tree things. Not to mention I can't even kill the dark wraiths.
You're fighting Darkwraiths? What?
It must have been a glitch in the game. It told me that there was a darkwraith up ahead, but it's those really tall nights in full armor in the forest. I figured out a way to beat those and I found really nice elite armor, but I still can't beat them when there's the tree people as well as a tall night thing.

You can't even do anything to the wraiths. They just make you slow down so you can't move and then they kill you. I mean I have killed one like maybe 1 or 3 times but I just can't get past this part of the forest.

I don't look up walkthroughs or guides to any game unless it's something like the first silent hill, which I get stuck on so much. Even then I did the puzzles with no guides. I have always, ever since I was really young, thought that walkthroughs were a sort of cheating or they're just cheap. I am doing this run of the game blind, except for figuring out how to do common things like read stats, which the game doesn't tell me.

The internet is your friend unless you're trying to do a blind run.
Blind runs are great until you hit a wall and spend 80 hours leveling to 45.
I have only been using the internet to figure out how to do certain attacks and stuff like what all the different stats do. It's insane how this game gives you so little guidance on how to even play it. I am level 20+ something now btw, idk where I could say I am in the game though. I got near to the forest past the first blacksmith but I need to go back and do more stuff. I am currently backtracking so I can find a good place to level grind.
