I pledged allegiance to the US every day in high school I almost forgot that was a thing since I graduated.
It's so creepy when you really think about it. Even more so when you see we did the Nazi salute while reciting it before Hitler got big.

The point of the add is that it makes them feel guilty about their sexuality and identity, so they just kill themselves. It's a harsh critique of society, but also a very true one imo. Society is very homophobic.
