The Flood / The truth about human beings« on: July 07, 2018, 06:04:37 PM »
As a human being you are always striving, like a meth addict. Always looking for that next fix of happiness. The human being is a perpetual eating machine, a perpetual get-high machine, and a perpetual fuck machine. What else is there to say about the human being?

This summer I have used a vast chunk of the money I have earned at my summer job on my wrist watch collection. I spend a lot of time just looking for interesting wrist watches which are in my budget.
I also am extremely picky about audio equipment, and I have spent a lot of time researching audio equipment, trying different headphones etc. I now have the HDVA600 Sennheiser Amplifier and HD800 headphones, as well as the dozens of other pieces of equipment that I own. Almost every afternoon since I was a teenager I have looked for weird obscure music to download on my computer, which is what I use my audio equipment to listen to. I collect plushies, expensive EDC pens, collectible editions of books (mostly from folio society and easton press), video games obviously. I just beat Wolfenstein I and II, and they were some of the best first person shooters I have ever played in my life. I also have a very large collection of vintage video games and consoles (my biggest collections being for the NES and SNES). Healthy eating is something that I have been extremely obsessed with since I was very, very young. I spend a lot of time browsing tumblr and looking for new artwork to download. I like to collect interesting pieces. I post a lot the best SFW (or semi sfw) artwork that I find on my facebook page where you can find thousands of interesting pictures if you look at the albums on my facebook page. I am very passionate about philosophy, and before I decided to study philosophy for a degree I would spend a great deal of time pondering philosophical questions on my own, and posting a lot of my thoughts on my own private blog. I must say that philosophy is amazing because you can hear a lot of the same questions that I was asking that I never hear other people even thinking about being brought up when you listen to podcasts about the history of philosophy like the one I have been listening to at my job called Philosophize This. I am of course also historically into playing various instruments, sail boating, skiing, fishing, etc. These are not things that I do very often anymore though. 156
The Flood / Why I hate lesbianism« on: July 06, 2018, 06:39:27 AM »
Lesbianism is not cute, it is only cute when it is with feminine guys. First of all, lesbians are men hating bitches, and the thing about lesbians is they also will never date you! Lesbian style is much more attractive than your average barbie doll cunt, which makes them more attractive. This irony makes them all the more repulsive. Whenever I see lesbianism in shows like Steven Universe, it is just grotesque to me, because they have not added a cute male on male relationship in the entire show. This is the bitchiness that I was talking about with lesbians.

I was thinking about why it is so difficult to have conversations about politics with other people, and it seems like there's a couple out of possibly hundreds or infinite reasons why it may be difficult. People, for one, often hold different concepts of ideas based on what they have heard from the sources they follow. A person's entire concept of reality may be different from person to person, so when someone talks about the same concept they may actually be talking about two separate things. Secondly, there is simply not enough time or patience between either party to go in depth about why they hold the beliefs that they do. Most people, strangely enough don't even seem interested in having the conversation, because the conversation is uncomfortable and can possibly put you at odds with another political person.
It is strange though, that people take their political points of view so personally. I've noticed a pattern with people, that they tend to see concepts or things as though they were the things themselves. A person may follow a political cause, or religion, or listen to certain music, or value a certain sports team even, and what happens is that thing starts to become a part of themselves. What is an enigma to me is why people conflate themselves with things which are not themselves, and no one can have an honest and objective discussion about any subject. Perhaps the lack of ability to have an objective subject lies in what I described before, which is that it is not possible to be objective because everyone's perspective on the world is subjective. Even if everyone's views were subjective, that does not explain why people get angry when presented with another person's beliefs. It is baffling to me, and frustrating, that this is the case. People are so territorial and defensive about what they believe, that a lot of times certain views are even taboo to talk about. One such idea would be revolutionary leftism. Perhaps it's not a good idea to bring up to the average person that you would like the worker to be paid the value of their labor, and the surplus labor value to go back to the worker instead of the CEO and shareholder. End this endless cycle of wage slavery and capitalist growth, create a symbiotic economy. Even that is more of an explanation than most people are willing to listen to. Perhaps it's easy to over complicate things. Everyone wants their point of view to be the dominant world view, or they want people who they admire to be in charge if they are not confident in themselves. A person could either want to be a leader or a follower of some sort, whether they lead themselves or others. In a world where essentially everyone wants what they personally see as the best system, it can be easy to see how others would get very easily frustrated when someone espouses views that contradict their own. Perhaps someone who sees the system of capitalism that we live in right now as a beneficial system for all except the people who they suppose are just lazy (even given minimum wage not being a living wage and college debt bring crippling for a lot of people), would see a leftist view as intruding on people's ability to profit off their fellow wo/m/an. Perhaps what is really going on when different political views clash, is an innate sense of competition between human beings. Or, alternatively, perhaps it's a mechanism that was developed by human beings so that group mentality is more likely to prevail. Human beings evolved as a tribal species, after all. Perhaps it was beneficial to human beings for each other to agree on things rather than disagree, and what this frustration with other people's beliefs is (as opposed to having the ability to have a detached, logical conversation with one another) is actually an inborn defense mechanism against having tribe destroying disagreements with one another. However, if this is really the case then on a large scale, it could never work. It seems that human beings should have staid in small tribes. It would seem that this ubiquitous tribalism is also the result of wars fought with other tribes. People in their own tribe are trying to defend their beliefs just as they would defend that of their tribe, and perhaps evolutionarily the tribe was the catalyst of this conflation of personal beliefs and the tribal instinct to protect ones beliefs because a common belief is what holds a tribe together. Human beings were probably never meant to live in a society like the ones that we've constructed, every societal construct is an experiment and perhaps politics itself conflicts with the nature of the human being itself. Human beings have been tossed into this world, filled with tribe dividing politics, and they have been separated from their small tribe of a couple dozen people tens of thousands of years ago, and the only reason that these politics exist is because human beings now live in communities of not dozens, but millions. In this cluster fuck of a society, how could political conversations ever be comfortable and productive across civilization? 159

The Flood / Insecurity is for the weak« on: June 30, 2018, 11:10:27 PM »
Isn't it ironic to feel insecure about what other people think of you, when another person exhibits that they are insecure it is repulsive? At least to me. Perhaps the worst form of insecurity is when people think that you dislike them. It puts the burden of their insecurity on you, and to me that is obnoxious. Think about the insecure, down to the most primal level they do not fulfill the basic need for confidence to attract a mate for the intrinsic drive to sex.
The thought came to me when I was thinking about myself singing Karaoke at a block party. My singing is not bad, but I always sing an octave too high when I can't hear myself sing! Good fucking lord every time I think about it makes me double over as though I just got punched in the chest. Yet that insecurity makes me less respectable, it is a paradox. No one who was there really would really want to know about that. Yet there is a balance, because the inverse of insecure is lack of self awareness. Could insecurity perhaps be another form of lacking self awareness? It is good to be leery of the qualities you exude, because all actions are political down to the shoes you wear and the inflection of your voice. But anxiety is a disease of the imagination; you could never know how other people see yourself in their eyes. So you have to simultaneously be aware of the way you present yourself and be unconcerned with your own shortcomings. Think about what a shortcoming is. When you fail to do something, no one ever wants to hear your excuse. People want to hear that you tried, people like to hear about overcoming the greatest adversities. We all are still mentally in the coliseum of Rome watching the gladiator get mauled to death or triumph victoriously. Insecurity is for the weak, it is for those who are literally not worth a single fuck. 161

I was so excited. They answered my question on what is their opinion on philosophy degrees. I am going into a degree in philosophy, so to hear my favorite youtubers answer my question on the subject was just perfect. There is no one youtube more awesome than Contrapoints.
I'm so happy that Contrapoints and Philosophytube are going on a date. Philosophytube is flying over from England to visit with Contrapoints. Dude needs to work on his game because he was obviously nervous in the livestream, he said he was nervous about meeting up. They always looked so smitten with each other, I hope he doesn't fuck it up. They would make the most adorable couple. I know they probably won't date long term, but I wish they would lol. 169

Whenever I look at a mentally handicapped person I just think of what could have been if the genes didn't get fucked up inside the mother's womb, or however that process occurs. Sometimes I see my sjw friends on facebook posting videos about some tard amusement park, where all the little cripples can go and frolic like retards, and it just makes me so annoyed. It makes me annoyed because retards are degenerate in the truest sense of the word, and they remind me of how imperfect our world is.
