Have you ever heard of cultural appropriation, that thing where you can't take parts of other people's cultures and use them as your own? So like, you can't take an indian head dress and wear it because it's a sacred part of their culture. I'm usually a pretty liberal person, but this cultural appropriation thing is fucking stupid. Fuck your culture. Why should someone else be able to govern what someone else wears, or what style of music they make, or the way they talk? I honestly tried to ask my friends what it was about this that actually makes sense, and they tried to explain it to me and I was just thinking, yeah I want to go wear and indian head dress and walk down the street of an indian reservation now, because this is so fucking stupid. I just said, yeah I feel like if I grew up in that culture I'd go and wear the fucking indian head dress (even though it's only meant for special members of the tribe or something), because nothing sacred, that's stupid. 

Like, if my hands are too cold, or if flick myself with a rubber band, I don't like that. I don't like pain at all. Is that weird?

So, I remember seeing on a literature forum, a thread about a quote from an author who's name is not important, who said that sports, politics, and religion, are the passions of the uneducated. The other two are obvious, but with politics it also makes sense. With politics it's a game of what you know, the reason that politics isn't even viable to argue about is because there's so many sides to one story, that trying to argue it becomes a matter of two people who heard different stories and can't come to an agreement on the full picture. It doesn't take intelligence, it just takes getting a bunch of people to repeat generalities about commonly held notions which were told to them by the media. This is why I've started to think that talking about politics with people in general is a waste of time.

My whole philosophy on life, is that I don't think people should have a problem with people; they should take issue with the way behavior effects the order of the world around them. People aren't like computers, people are delicate and not based on hierarchies of intelligence and information; we're prone to mistakes and totally lack of judgment. A lot of times there's really no clear right or wrong for anything. That's why I find it so difficult to get along in a world where people basically base their judgments off of the primitive parts of their brain, like fear hatred and disgust; those aren't connected to higher thinking parts of the brain, responsible for things like rational thinking. So when I live in a world where people have problems with other people, just instinctively, not as though there's any reason attached to it; not based on any sort of hierarchy, or really any intelligence at all, but instead based on base emotions; I start to feel paranoid that I'm living in an orwellian sort of society. In a way I am.

Because generally accepted points of view in general aren't based off of reason, they're based off of group think. And people hold judgments based on superficial levels, not based off of any sort of complex means of intelligence. It's like, everyone is goldstein, and everyone is big brother, combined.

Because we can't know what other people are thinking, we can never judge people fairly. If everyone knew exactly what someone else was thinking, all the time, no one would ever hate or judge anyone. That's this core problem that I struggle with every single day, and it's like cataclysmic war inside my head every day, trying to deal with all these issues.

This is why I am so excited for artificial intelligence, I crave to live in a world where robot intelligence, based entirely off of rational thinking, finally becomes a part of our civilization. Can you imagine how benevolent such a creature would be? People weren't even capable of imagining the sort of divine fairness that an intelligence based entirely off of rationality would feel, when they invented god.

I was laying in bed last night, with a bunch of anxiety, trying to figure out what your inner consciousness actually is. Because like, these words that I'm saying right now, they're part of your inner voice. You listen to that voice and observe it, but it's so strange. You can observe it, you can just listen to it's wordless babble inside of your own mind and not put it into words. It will just ramble on and on, and then immediately when you choose to engage it, it starts speaking as I am right now, as if it were you. It is what's speaking right now. But I observe it, my own consciousness, me, I am the one speaking right now, but I only observe it. It's so strange. I want to be clear though, that when I say, "my inner voice", I don't mean that I'm hearing a voice that isn't mean, I mean it is me, but I can observe it as if it weren't.

I'm against the idea of everyone having their own different versions of reality, this is exactly what religion does. Whereas, if you come to a consensus, look for evidence and test hypothesis; which is actually the closest thing human beings have to an objective reality, one which is repeatable and testable in a lab; then you actually have a world which isn't constantly at odds with each other, you actually have a world which is truly interested in knowledge and understanding. And what a surprise that it takes more knowledge and hard work to understand a world from this point of view, it takes not being full of yourself and thinking your thoughts are right just because that's what you believe.

You know, I was thinking about anti black lives matter stuff, and I really think it misses the whole point of the movement. The argument against black lives matter is that it's filled with some people who do some crazy stuff, and I don't remember what that is really. But the point of black lives matter is that there's violence by police against black people, and black lives matter is calling awareness to that. This is just one of the reasons I think "anti social justice warriors" are so full of crap, and they miss the bigger picture.

Another thing, take feminism and "social justice warriors" for example. They're basically subjecting kids, who go around on tumblr talking about their political affiliations, with intense scrutiny. How can you do that without a measure of self awareness and realizing the irony of your own actions? And you could point to larger, more mature instances of "politically correctness" being bad, but when people talk about social justice warriors they're talking about tumblr. And what do people of tumblr stand for, what's the bigger picture? Equality for gays, blacks, poor people, free expression of identity. Huh, it's almost as if those are really good qualities to have.

So yeah, I do get a bit frustrated when I see so much bullshit being propagated around by the rampant cult of hate which is anti social justice warriors. It's like a game. It is a total game to these people, taking other people's lives and making a mockery of it, just so they can laugh and bolster up the notion that social justice warriors are just fucked up. It's become really a disease, that's spread through the society we live in, listening to these people who aren't even concerned with keeping people factually in line, they're just concerned with berating people based off of the political affiliations that they have, often off of just a very small remark about something, they go off like a bomb against them.

I'm not saying that every single person acts that abashedly, but this is the sort of atmosphere that this sort of thinking creates. This is why I don't buy into the whole anti liberal, anti social justice warrior, or whatever values. Because the values that the anti social justice warrior opposes are values that I believe in. And okay, I know there's some people who aren't defensible, but I shouldn't have to defend myself against the things that other people do. That's a logical fallacy, that has nothing to do with the things that I actually believe, if a person for whatever reason does something that I can't personally defend.

Two big, long, wide, sink to the bottom shits. Seriously, I didn't even go yesterday, but today was the day of reckoning. I feel so much better.
