Never wanted to buy a Glock so much after that. Also, where can I get one of those blond, country music singing, Glock carrying girls like what was shown off in the video? Think Glock offers financing on one?

All I have is a tennis racket.
It's a start. Go sell it at the pawn and pick up a .38 special from Jamal's trunk on Martin Luther King Blvd.
But the racket's got a padlock on it and I lost the key. Pawn won't take it for a good price if they have to do some work on it. Might not take it at all.
You don't need much. If you can bring him a dime bag, he'll be cool.

For the love of god, don't use a Semi-automatic pistol. I know you love your Glawk 40 (Hi-Point .40,) but it's more likely going to get you marked as the perp.
Either use a Single Shot or break action smooth bore shotgun or a Revolver. Both allow you to collect your spents without anyone ever knowing. That's one less piece of evidence for the popo to collect.
Also avoid using Ball ammunition. I know that shit is cheap and really attractive when you don't have a pot to piss in, but when you have to 'put a bitch ass nigga down,' eliminate all possibility that they'll get back up to rap about how you shot their punk ass while you rot in prison. Lord knows we don't need more .50 cent's.Choose a hollowpoint of some variety. The more fragmentation the better. If you can, get some polymer tipped bullets. These hide a hollowpoint and further facilitate penetration of thicker clothing like you thugs like to wear.
The best solution is a smooth bore single shot shotgun. Load up with a slug or 00 buck and you got your self a 'fine ass gat.' If you need to, cut down the barrel and stock. Like you care about Short Barreled Shotgun laws in the first place. You now pack enough firepower to stop even the most ornery 'nigga' in his tracks. Of course the added benefit of a smooth bore is the lack of rifling which could identify you. No, bird shot is not an acceptable choice of ammunition. You're more likely to piss the 'punk ass bitch' off more than anything else.
Any questions?

Swapped out the card. Got a 660 instead. It has the six pin Supplementary power connector. As soon as I got the card in, the computer booted just fine.
Again, fuck Lenovo.
Or you could have just bought a new motherboard for less
It's a near straight across trade.
A new mobo wouldn't have really been worth the trouble. Nor do I feel like waiting another week to get that. Nor do I feel like driving three hours to the closest Fry's. I've already been out of gpu power for 4 days and I really cannot wait any longer.
A new MoBo would have been a better option. You'd be able to upgrade in the future to multiple better GPUs without hassle.
Just not an option right now. I heavily considered it, but decided against. If i get a ne. Mobo, I'm building a whole new computer

I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre K410. I've made upgrades to it over the years. From that old card to a new Power Supply. Everything falls well within spec for the card. I've literally been reading for 3 hours trying to get this card working coming up with absolutely nothing.
The problem that does keep coming up is related to the BIOS.
The 700 series doesn't have a six pin supplimental power connector. Most BIOS chips should see this and understand that more power needs to be routed through the PCI-E slot. But, this is a relatively new things, in relation to the 700 series of cards. The 700 series released in 2013, the BIOS for my computer was never updated past release in 2012.
Talking to the tech support from EVGA, he pretty much agreed and confirmed my suspicion. I have more than enough power to run the card, but it still refuses to work. He thinks it's related to the bios as well. He said unless I can find a bios update, then I have to return the card and get a 600 series. That's probably what I'm going to have to do.
Unless I can find a BIOS update that is...

« on: March 21, 2015, 04:40:54 PM »
Okay...so update the BIOS yourself.
And how would I go about doing that? Because I'm all ears. I have not found a single 3rd party update for the bios. It all points back to, "This machine does not require a BIOS update" on the Model's support page.

I recently had my EVGA Geforce GTX 550ti essentially die on me. Or rather, it's on it's death bed. So I used this opportunity to do some light upgrades to a 700 series card. I said, "Hey, the 750ti looks like a nice upgrade. I'll even get the super clocked edition for good measure."
So, I did. I ordered a new card.
I was so excited when I got it. I expected to have it swapped inside of 10 minutes and get back to gaming. Nope, not that simple.
Turns out, the pre-built Lenovo machine I am running has not had a BIOS update since 2012. The last update was the release version. The 700 series of cards doesn't require a 6 pin power connector like the 550ti did. The BIOS chip cannot understand what's plugged into it and refuses to POST. I spent the last 3 fucking hours trying to find a solution only to learn that the BIOS is woefully out of date and that Lenovo never intended to release an update for it after release.
So here I am, sitting on what is essentially a 150 dollar piece of scrap aluminum, plastic, and silicon as well as a card that is not long for this world, running sluggishly off my integrated graphics on my motherboard.
I either replace the whole god damn fucking computer, or I downgrade to a 600 series card and lose the performance boost I would have gotten. All because Lenovo has shit for brains when it comes to foresight.
I couldn't give a shit about superfish. But this, this has pissed me off more than I have ever been pissed off before. I've never not been able to upgrade because of a manufacturer's terrible customer support.
God dammit I'm mad.

Who would be handling Metal Pipe registration? Would there be a person at the door asking your intention with those pieces of pipe and nails you bought to see if you need to register them? Who would be serializing them to allow for registration? When do those pieces of pipe stop being plumbing and start being gun components? Who makes the determination of where the fulcrum between Plumbing and gun is? Would registration be linked to intent to construct or would be it linked to finished construction? Who would be going out to do checks on all people who purchased pipe and nails to make sure that they don't need to register those pipes and nails? What if someone doesn't register their pipe and nails, how would anyone ever know?
There wouldn't be a "metal pipe registration". Just gun registration, like I said. No, there wouldn't be a person asking that. The government. They're plumbing until they are used in a construction that is a firearm. Finished construction. No one. You don't register your pipe and nails, you register a gun. Or, preferably, you don't make one.
I'm not sure if you're just being intentionally obtrusive here. It really isn't that outrageous or difficult to understand. A gun is a gun, even if it's one you made yourself. Therefore, it should be subject to the same regulations as any "normal" gun would.
I don't think you grasp how blurred the lines can be between what is, and isn't a firearm, especially when it comes to zip guns. You can take that same pipe shotgun, replace the cap, and be back to normal plumbing parts. In practicality, it simply cannot be regulated. You have no way of determining who is making what and where it's being made or who it may be going to. I could go out and build a hundred open bolt sub machine guns for my local biker buddies to enjoy. Is that legal? No, but what do I care? Who would find out save for the people who received them? How would they be traced back to me? If I constructed, from scratch, a rifle for my own personal use, how would the Government ever know I made it? How would they even know that I have not registered it? They simply wouldn't. No one would know till it was stumbled upon. The point I am trying to make is that you cannot regulate human ideas or human ingenuity. Remember the case in Australia I mentioned earlier? Where a machinist was making open bolt sub machine guns in his garage? No law would have stopped him from doing that. No requirement of registration would have stopped him from doing that. The simple fact that he did build these guns flies in face of the Nation's gun ban and there was not a thing that the Government could do to stop him from doing it. Requiring registration on home built guns will never work because of the very nature of their construction. They are built at home and the government would have no idea you're doing it. The only feasible way to prevent this, or force registration, is to check every single purchase of potential components to make sure that there is no intent to construct a firearm without registration. Does that sound like an attainable goal? Good luck getting people to actually comply with a registration like that. It's literally impossible.

Seems pretty obvious to me that they should be subjected to the same, strict regulations that apply to any other type of gun.
They already are here.

Eh?
Just can't make class2/title3 firearms without the proper clearance and tax stamps and you can't make unserialed weapons to sell them.
There's no gun registration here... technically. There's paperwork involved in purchasing a handgun though.
There's paperwork for every dealer gun purchase, not just handguns. I'll be doing some paperwork in about three weeks...God dammit. I just remembered I am going to have to wait 10 days after I pay off my .17hmr bolt gun before I can pick it up. You know, for all those murders committed with 2500fps 17 grain projectiles. I think I should have waited. Unless the waiting period ends before I picks it up. Wishful thinking methinks.

How do you arrest someone for failing to register some pipe they have in their garage? Because that piping was transformed into a gun? I'm not entirely sure what's hard to grasp about this. How do you determine what a gun is and what a gun isn't? The definition of a gun:
"A weapon that bullets or shells (= explosive containers) are fired from." "A weapon incorporating a metal tube from which bullets, shells, or other missiles are propelled by explosive force, typically making a characteristic loud, sharp noise." "A weapon, especially a pistol or rifle, capable of firing a projectile and using an explosive charge as a propellant."
Put those three together and come to an appropriate definition. If the homemade construction of tubes and pipes falls under it, it's considered a gun and should be registered.
How do you arrest someone for failing to register some pipe they have in their garage? Because it's clearly a gun.
How do you determine what a gun is and what a gun isn't? Does it look like a gun? Yes Does it do what a gun does? Yes Does it shoot bullets? Yes It's a gun.
Do you arrest someone based purely on constructive possession? No. You give them the same treatment as anyone else who owns an unregistered gun.
Or do you put anyone who buys pipe on a watch list like they do with anyone who buys large amounts of Nitrate based fertilizer?
Stop being stupid.
How do a couple pieces of pipe look like a gun? I could be a plumber for all they know. Unless it's sitting in the firing configuration, it's just plumbing and it will always just be plumbing. I don't think you quite grasp how easy it is to manufacture a gun with things you can get from the hardware store. A couple years ago, in Australia, a man in Brisbane I believe, was busted for manufacturing open bolt sub machine guns out of sheet metal, pipe fittings, and other hardware. For what they were, I was quite impressed. Not that Open bolt sub guns are difficult to make. During World War II, Brits were making Sten guns in their basements out of plumbing pipe. So if you can figure out a way to regulate homemade guns, I'm all ears.
