ive always been pretty interested in the reading the books, but ive heard some can be kinda rare to find? is that true?
also i prefer my stuff physical, so digital is outta the question
My partner got me the complete physical copy (not the individual chapters) so idk how rare it is.

It's SO good!!! I love how the comics expand the Azula storyline. Also I'd love to see an Azula / Sokka ship ngl
Ngl it was actually pretty hype to see Azula there and the expansion upon her mentality towards life, even if it meant Toph wasn’t able to appear.

I wish I'd never done it all. I know your name and I know that it's got pleasant connotation to it, but I don't have any real concrete instances of conversations in memory. How did I hurt you?(apart from the obvious)
Not that you had any control or awareness of this, but I had a friend pass away a week before I saw the thread announcing your death. You and I were never super close, but I did like seeing you around. It was sad to see you go and it was a pretty fucked up time for the reason mentioned above.

Nintendo made CEO back out of Smash world Tour and had plans to cancel the entire series. It was kept on the down low as everyone made the assumption that the Pandemic was the sole reason due to timing. That’s a $240,000+ prize pool for both Ult and Melee gone at their hands. On top of this, a splatoon event was blocked from steaming and subsequently cancelled after teams in the finals put ‘free melee’ in their names.
Sephiroth: Not too keen on anime sword characters since the roster started being flooded by FE characters in 4. Not least because his range looks to be even more bonkers than Corrin’s seemed at first. Still worth giving a go since I’ve grown up hearing a lot about FF, even though I’m yet to play a game. I don’t see him being super busted with the frame data the trailer gave him, but that’ll remain to be seen.
Sad to see so many people dropping everything Nintendo has done over the years to celebrate Sephiroth being added to the game. Prior to the reveal, their tweets were being drowned by ‘#SaveSmash, #FreeSplatoon and #FreeArms’ but overnight the fans seem to have forgotten the protest altogether. Defs a hype moment worth celebrating for Ult/FF fans, but shit like this is just gonna make Nintendo know exactly how to continue their bullshit and keep their PR.

I wish you’d timed the fake death a few months earlier/later, but glad to see you’re alive regardless.

not to say that nintendo shouldn't let these things slide, especially during times like these, but i think it's a little disingenuous to argue that people aren't running pirated copies of smash to play it online, or that using unauthorized ROMs in general still isn't in a big legal grey area
it's shitty and nintendo sucks, but i don't necessarily agree that their grounds are invalid from a strictly legal standpoint
this is the sort of thing that should only be argued from an ethical standpoint imo
I just think it (should be) nintendo’s burden of proof to show whether entrants are competing on pirated roms before a C&D can be issued. But in the US I thought it was cut and dry that you could make your own copy of a Rom using your own copy of a game, as long as it isn’t distributed. It’s probably just the strongest ground they have to stand on in terms of cockblocking tournaments and they’re taking it tbh. Really feels like they’re stuck in the 80’s with their ‘protection’ of intellectual property.

Also of note: -Melee and Brawl removed from MLG circuit at Nintendo’s request -Major companies (including Twitch & red bull) knocked back after offering literal millions of $ to run major circuits with to potential to propel both Melee and Smash 4 to CS levels of eSport in terms of money and available sponsorship. -The C&D at EVO 2013 -Reports of a C&D towards CEO 2020, forcing them to withdraw from Smash World Tour (Melee & Ultimate). Covid-19 saved them from a PR disaster with its timing. -Killing project M by negotiating with tournament organisers to remove it from their lineup with promises of sponsoring and supporting major tournaments (never followed up on) -Signing a contract for a Twitch circuit and backing out of it on the grounds of Ultimate’s upcoming release
Pure fuming lads

Nintendo never ceases to amaze me with their pathological need to stop Smash from ever having a competitive scene. I’m sure you’ve heard they issued a Cease & Desist to the upcoming Big House Online supermajor. Entire tournament cancelled including Ultimate.
Their grounds aren’t even valid; there’s nothing illegal about running modded ROMs of Melee to work with Slippi. Their only ground to stand on would be if competitors were using pirated copies, which is their proof of burden. At the very least, almost every melee player has a physical copy of the game. So mad about this and other shitty behaviour from them.

I wanted to give users a sense of pride and accomplishment when they used the forums, so I felt the need to make this much-needed change.
These changes will only affect 1%* of our total users, who are conveniently all inactive*. We believe these measures will put an end to the creation of alt accounts by known forum trolls*.

Taking a break from modifying my car to sort out christmas presents and whatnot. Gonna be shooting for 400+hp at the wheels real soon afterwards though. Gonna see what this turbo can do before I decide on whether or not to chase after a 3076 gen II or equivalent. Also dunno whether I want external wastegate at this stage or not.

Voting the lesser of two evils is an option select for better policies in the future and it absolutely matters.
Regardless of the individual candidate, conservative leaning parties have a tendency to gut their public sector in favour of tax cuts for major companies (particularly banks and fossil fuel corporations) and hurts the nation long term. The same is true for Australia’s elections.
Third parties will be off the table for a long time as serious candidates to full leadership. but if the USA voting system is at all similar to Australia’s, there’s certainly no harm in voting for preferential 3rd party candidates first before selecting your major party candidate of choice.
Anyway. Point is it’s technically possible to get a future progressive government in power in the long term, rather than having more services, etc. axed by letting your vote ‘not be of consequence.’ That in itself is an uphill battle given Murdoch Media has a near vicegrip on the ballsack of every english speaking country with a two party system, and they come with a distinct conservative bias. That and people actually buy into the bias and are extremely rooted in their ideals, despite it doing them harm. Well, that and being born into a conservative voting family.
Keep in mind Conservative governments (whether it’s the Australian Liberal Party or the Republican party) love to tout a narrative of helping the economy despite it being a blatant falsehood and cash flow actually stagnating under them. What does go up is the red line in the stock market for Rio Tinto and that’s entirely different to ‘the economy’ as a whole.

Hopefully graduated from my Uni degree, still in touch with my homies and doing a bit of live streaming for games and shit.
I’d also like to have done a bit of travel, but otherwise I’m not really fussed.
