Being a scientist =/= knowing shit about the environment.

Really? I never knew. Thanks for contributing to the conversation btw

What I'm saying is that your checks and balances are retardedly unbalanced and that Congress is not held accountable for anything.
The President keeps congress in line with the power to veto. The President can also issue Executive Orders which can go into effect via the Judicial Branch. I'd say our 3 branches of government are pretty balanced. However, congress needs to enact some policies such as term limits.

And isn't congress nearly all exclusively business men? There's like no engineers, enviromentalists or full-time politicians as far as I know. I get the whole 3 pillars thing but it's drilled into us here that because of this systemy you have, you can't shift the blame onto any one area because they can keep juggling responsibilities.
Quote
169 Members of the House (38% of the House) and 57 Senators (57% of the Senate), held law degrees. 19 House Representatives have doctoral (Ph.D. or D.Phil.) degrees. 22 Members of the House and 3 Senators have a medical degree

How is this relevant?
You asked if they're exclusively businessmen

They're not

Business men/lawyers, same shit man. Woop de woop they have some eejits with a medical degree, colour me surprised. I wonder how influential they are!!

Lobbyism has corrupted congress and until it's outlawed there's not much we can do. I don't know why you would want an engineer as a senator. They have scientists and environmentalists at their disposal.

I used it as an example. ofc I don't want a whole body of decision makers to be fucking scientists. But you need some integrated there as a baseline so they don't fuck up the enviroment and shit.
That's why we have a representative democracy. We vote for senators that care about the environment.

It clearly hasn't worked for 50 years.

Look, we all know it's not going to be a bad movie. But at the same time it's not going to be anything special. It'll tick all the boxes, but that's about it.

It'll be a good movie, but a terrible film.

We are taught that American presedential elections are irrelevant becasue Congress is where the power lies after Watergate. And Congress has insanely longer terms and they are all rich millionaires that buy each other positions.

HAVE I BEEN TAUGHT WRONGLY BY A FEMINIST OR IS THIS UNIRONICALLY TURE?

We still don't have full voluntary bloodsports to spectate.

Just a few variants of guys beating each other up.

I am not entertained tbh
Gladiators fighting in the colosseum when?

If Trump wins, you won't have to wait too long.

Boxing is literally a meme thanks to Floyd "Decision" Mayweather.

Literally fuck off. He's the greatest defensive boxer who has ever lived. And he's smart enough to win on points not KO's. Sure, his fights are BORING af to watch, but that's what you expect with a technical boxer.
pacman should have won

Ehh.. Maybe. Pacman wasn't fighting at his best by any means, he didn't hurt Floyd and didn't land any real hits. Whereas Floyd got some clean shots off to the head.

Literally meme'd him in the face. Glad I didn't pay to watch that.

So boxing or MMA? Boxing is probably harder imho tbqh fam, more endurance and much higher chance of concussion and brain damage as the recounts allow you to fight long after you should have been taken out.

I can't go downstairs to get food because my ENTIRE extended family decided to fucking visit the place. Haven't eaten any solids in over 27 hours. They are showing no signs of leaving.

Time to break out the 'back-up bottles' to sustain myself. I never thought it would come to this.

These work best if you start with a subtly incorrect scale and then work your way up to a reasonably believable one.

'Jurassic park came out 22 years ago' for example

I'm still learning to make meme-threads. Sorry.
