Took this comment from spacebattles, the user is called someguy16, they were discussing the UNSC Marines vs. the US Marine Corps:

The commander gets a crate of SAWs before a deployment, but because the quartermasters are assholes even by real life standards, they can't be assed to fill out the paperwork to assign them to anyone. It requires a couple more forms to assign a SAW than an assault rifle, and fuck that shit. Emergency requisite forms are like... half a sheet. So it's best to just wait until the guys on the ground need them.
Fast forward a week. Private Jimmy heard from Sergeant Jackson that Captain Brown was told by Staff Sergeant Walt that 3rd battalion's Colonel Emery read about how Lieutenant Oswald saw these two privates talking about a a rumor that made it sound like a Pelican airdropped a bunch of supplies on top of Helljumper Corporal Miller's fire team right before it fought a Brute Chieftain. According to the legend, other than half a dozen assault rifles, two pistols, and a shotgun, they might have been given a SAW, too! And everyone's really pissed because they've been trying to scavenge together a SAW for half the Campaign and they hadn't even seen a magazine let alone a whole weapon!
Not that it matters anyway because supposedly the Master Chief traded a half dead plasma pistol for Miller's SAW, so the ODST only got to hold the mythical squad automatic weapon for around thirty seconds."
Needless to say, I laughed out loud.

Daredevil, the Man Without Fear! Just finished watching the entire season, and I must say that it was amazing! It's one of the best shows that Netflix has ever spewed out (then again Marvel is behind this). The setting, the characters, and everything is perfectly represented, from Matt Murdock to Wilson Fisk. Everything is done perfectly, and are kept faithful to its source material. I am not the biggest Daredevil fan, I mean I liked Daredevil, thought that he was one if not the best street level hero in Marvel excluding Spider-man. But this series has made me look at the character a bit more, from his origin and life as a lawyer. Unlike other heroes, Daredevil is the most vulnerable. He doesn't have any powers aside from his heightened senses, he doesn't own guns like the Punisher since like Batman he has a moral code which is supported by his Catholic faith. In the series, its demonstrated by how vulnerable he is every time he heads out to be a hero, he gets pummeled, beaten, cut and stuff. But he endures through it all, because he loves his city and the people in it, and he would do anything to protect it. Even give up his own life. When the Avengers are out there fighting aliens and the like, Daredevil is there in the streets, in the meat of it all...doing what he does best, being the man with no fear. But what is a good hero without a great villain? Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin. The opposite of what Daredevil stands for, the Kingpin wants to destroy Hell's Kitchen to rebuild it in his image. Everything he does is calculative, smart and smooth, especially with his allies and resources. He has a great backstory in how he became the ruthless yet complicated man he is by the series. The supporting characters are really well done as well, Foggy Nelson, Karen Page and the others are kept relevant and integral to the overall plot. They aren't pushed aside for the main character to shine, they have their own stories and own events that contribute to the main story which is basically Daredevil vs. the Kingpin. The series is very well done, the violence has significance since this is the underbelly of the MCU, no Avengers here to keep the story lighter. Just a lone hero that fights the city's worst and most corrupt. I can't wait for the next series that Marvel has in stored for Netflix. What is it with blind characters and awesomeness?

DemonicChronic is the heart and soul of the Mod Team, however his mod skills and overall dankness make him a formidable opponent if he ever turned against us. His vulnerability to hemp would be hard to exploit in a defensive position, however research suggests that a nanite virus spiked with responsibility would cause his cannabis covered skin to combust in contact with the clean air neutralizing him as a threat. Must investigate further.

The bolter of a commissar is the most powerful weapon in the universe, limited only by the amount of people it can blow into pieces. The bolter cannot be separated from the user except in the event of their death. And the gun's natural defenses prevent direct attack. But in order to USE the bolter the commissar needs to see what they're doing, while an attack to the eyes would be ill-advised due to the defenses of the bolter. See Table 69-A for full offensive lists and their probabilities of success. Research indicates a post-hypnotic suggestion could be implanted into the commissar's psyche causing themselves to believe to be blind. The bolter would then shoot them in the face enforced by their own incapacity. Must test out this theory on Fuklaw.

Isara is a good friend, which is one reason it would be difficult to face her in combat should she turn against the Team. Its not a thought I relish, but if it must be done the following strategy could be useful: if she could be convinced that she's fighting an equal she could then theoretically be trapped in an unending cycle of breast debates against a phantom opponent. Must investigate feasibility of neural-virtual reality technology.

Flee. A unique opponent. Every pony tattoo in his body is under his command and he could make himself into any pony he imagines, we're unlucky and lucky that he's on our side and that he is more concern in doing sexual coitus with horses than anything else. But should he turn, shooting him with high caliber anti-friendship bullets or some other anti-pony armament are the best emergency response I've been able to identify. After that...its just a question of burial site.

The biggest attribute of any weeb is their tenacity and never give up attitude. Yutaka is no exception. Tests show that there are little counters to a weeb attack since they are resilient to most Western logic or culture. One of the exceptions to this are Spider-Man threads, counter-attacking a weeb thread with Spider-Man has been so far the best route in dealing with a weeb of this size. Further testing is required.

His computers are an excellent blind spot, as is his endless crusade to protect the cyborgkind. Taking hostages is a good distraction, particularly if they are friends, family or kitchen appliances. THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU DO THIS.

I am disappointed by your decision to press charges, but I am not surprised. My only hope is that the courts will see the matters differently than you have. You see; I never had the chance to serve in battle. Nor did fate provide me the opportunity to sacrifice myself for humanity as it did for so many others in the Great War. Someone extremely dear to me was lost very early in my life. My mind has always plagued me with the question: If the choice had been placed in my hands, could I have saved her? The memory of her has haunted me my entire life, and more so in these last few years than I could ever have imagined.
But, given the events of these past few weeks, I feel confident that had I been given the chance, I would have made those sacrifices myself... Had I only the chance. I know that you disagreed with my methods and that others will as well. This is beyond my control. However, I cannot imagine that any court would be able to convict me no matter how low their opinion of my actions might be. You must understand one basic fact for all this to make sense, my dear Chairman: These AI, they all come from somewhere. They are all based on a person. Our ALPHA was no exception.
And while the law has many penalties for the atrocities we inflict on others, there are no punishments for the terrors that we inflict on ourselves.
So you send your men. They won't find themselves a fight. They'll only find an old man. An old man tired, but satisfied he did his duty. An old man weary from a mind more filled with memory than it is with hope.
