People are misreading what I'm saying. I'm not advocating a mute button, I'm advocating a "hide nameplate" button if Cheat decides to go the coup route and give everyone custom nameplates.
Oh, well earlier you were saying you want a mute feature because for some reason, you act like a complete asshole to me, even when I try to be nice to you. I never hold grudges against you and have tried, yet my efforts seem useless.
Hiding nameplates would be a good feature though, because there are a few people who would obviously make the most obnoxious nameplate possible.
That was more of me being an asshole. I wouldn't actually mute anyone if there was that feature; like you said, it kills activity. Don't take my dickery personally, I act that way to everyone. And yeah. Did you see RC's on the Anarchy board? Total eyesore.

I was just thinking about that list that nobody uses, actually. It'd be something good to bind Coup to if I decide to go that route. Basically, since some of you have a strange taste in title bar colors, I would set it up so that anyone on your buddy list would show up with their custom colors/nameplate (if they have Imposter) only to you.
It's just an idea I was tossing around.
You should do the opposite of that. Have a "hate list", where anyone who's on it has their titlebar invisible to you.
Basically a "mute list."

Yeah, I guess so. I'm saying that the amount of good nameplates will ultimately outweigh the amount of shitty ones, so everyone's should be on by default if Cheat decides to go the coup route. With the option to hide any you don't like.
