yeah, I've been working here like a month and a week now, it's such an awesome job and I get paid more than I did at BK and have to do like 1/10 of the work
first paycheck I bought a PS4 and wasted it on ubers/lyfts (when the bus is only $1) and I won't be making that mistake again
okay so bills and all that shouldn't be more than like 600 dollars for a month. How tf are you not saving at least 200 dollars each month?
PS4 with Just Cause 3 was like $320 I took maybe five ubers, that's $100 Rent for my mom, $200 Miscellaneous food + drugs is like $100 and I bought my little brother soccer gear As I said, the PS4 is bought and I'm probably just buying one PS4 game with this paycheck (choosing between these two), and I'm not going to use uber, so I'll probs have a lot more spending money this time

Like obviously I get where Flee is coming from. He's saying that if you've had the job for a while and you can't just buy the game now then it means you've got nothing in your bank account and if that's the case you need to focus on saving money rather than buying a video juega
I guess so, but if I had spare money I'd just buy more expensive drugs / take an uber home one day instead of the bus

RDR2 is good but overrated and 76 is a hot steaming pile of trash.
Just being honest. Obviously get RD2 but don't expect it to be the second coming of Christ like everyone is making it out to be.
Personally I would wait until RD online comes out or it drops in price a bit.
dude it has alligators I fully expect this game to invigorate my life and be my replacement for doing drugs and if it doesn't deliver on that, I'll just have to do drugs while playing

It's not that you have to pay for it, it's that you have to wait before you're able to pay for it. Unless that's not the case and I'm reading too much into it, but saying pointing out that you'll be waiting on your paycheck before buying a game you could otherwise just get right now does give that impression. You do you of course, but it seems a bit strange from a personal finance perspective.
Really confused about this. I have $0 right now because I already spent my last paycheck on bills/rent/fun/games, and when I get my next paycheck I'll likewise spend it on bills/rent/fun/games. I don't always have money on hand lol, do you?

Why would I save money lol, I have a perfect life right now where I can afford to live plus buy the things that make me happy. If I saved like $100 every paycheck it would be like 5 months before it even added up substantially.

If you can't afford to pay for a game that costs 60 dollars once you get your paycheck plus pay all your bills and set aside some for savings then you're barely making a salary. I'd be more on your side if he was working in some poor country or if he was out on the street scrapping things to make money, but he has a normal job.
Too little money in the salary to want to save up big, and too much to be so sparse with it.
Yeah I get $700-$800 every two weeks.

Fallout 76 is terrible. Don't touch it.

the ambiance looks good and so does the action, PLUS it's open world
there's no choices/dialogue so it's not a Fallout game but it looks stellar to me regardless
I played the beta. It's not as fun as it looks.
The action is the worst part. Gunplay feels nothing like Fallout 4, which was the minimum I was hoping for but I guess Bethesda are too incompetent to achieve even that. Enemies have been dumbed down, most will just stand there and let you shoot them. Hit registration is all over the place, especially for melee.
The "quests" all follow the same god awful formula - try to find person, find out said person is dead, person conveniently left audio tape saying they want you to do X, do X, complete quest.
The audio logs aren't even interesting, either. I stopped bothering to listen to them because of how boring and drawn out they were.
The map is the only good thing about this game, and even then it's a shame to see it wasted on this pile of garbage. It's genuinely one of the most boring games I've ever played.
Even the online component, the main selling point of the game, is awful. PvP consists of you standing around shooting each other for ages in some eternal standoff. When you're killed you can respawn in pretty much the same place and start attacking them again. Gunplay does not feel good at all.
hmm gotcha, thanks for your time with this post I thought you were just basing it off of being a Fallout game but these criticisms are the same ones I've been seeing I'll probably get RDR2 then but I hear the movement (which is really important) is sluggish. Also I hear that the 1st person mode, which I got excited for, sucks
