I wish I had the patience to draw, or at least bullshit some art together with Photoshop or something. Then I could set up a Patrion and make a living doing basically nothing.

The Flood / Re: Verb gives his shitty opinions on anime.« on: April 17, 2017, 06:17:33 PM »Many years ago back when I was little and watched DBZ everyday on Toonami, I got pissed and shunned DBZ because every time they got to the Kid Buu saga they put the show on Hiatus and kept restarting it from a previous season with the final straw for me being when they restarted the series after the restarted from the World Tournament saga and then restarted from the beginning of the Cell saga. So I never got to finish DBZ despite being at the very end, I recently got all nine seasons on DVD and the first thing I did was picked up where I left off fourteen years ago.All this talk about Dragonball reminds me that I've never finished the Buu saga or started the new Super series. Toonami knew where DBZ should have ended. 791

Let's take a moment to remember that all of the above was written solely because of the color of a fictional character's hair. 796

The Flood / Re: Ozymandius is not a villain« on: April 11, 2017, 01:35:20 PM »I agree. Millions vs billions. The math on this is clear Manhattan sees the past and future as if they're happening now. He's bound to do whatever he sees himself do in the future because, from his perspective, it's already happened. He pretty much went "I won't get rid of the nukes because I know I didn't get rid of the nukes." And keep in mind that there's no guarantee Veidt's plan worked or if nuclear war happened anyway. Since Rorschach's journal wound up published (and it's consistent with Ozymandias' code name), I'm inclined to go with the latter, but that's just me. 801

The Flood / Re: Ozymandius is not a villain« on: April 10, 2017, 06:55:49 PM »Honestly I don't see the movie to be about bad guys or villains, but clash of philosophies. This. Watchmen is a commentary on the simplistic morality of the Silver Age, where there's good and bad and nothing in between, by presenting a morally gray situation with no clear right or wrong. Trying to finger any one character as the villain is missing the point. >the movie though 805

It's left ambiguous if he was right or not. He doubts himself shortly after, and Dr. Manhattan implies he wasn't.
Unrelated but still interesting, Alan Moore was annoyed when he found out how popular Rorschach became. Seems some people missed the point completely. 808

Just don't forget to check out the weapon stories. You get another part of the story every time you upgrade a weapon, and each has a different story. They're interesting. |
