Suddenly, the octopi wrapped its throbbing, turgid tentacles around the cuttlefish and tore it in half! Taking the opportunity, I turned Chuck Testa around and kicked his side like a horse, causing him to shoot forward, swimming at speeds no shark should be capable of swimming. Rocketman, barely clinging to the tail fin, struggled to stay above the water.

Slade's slender, ladylike, groping hands loaded the handgun. He began firing off round after round at the cuttlefish, the octopi and Chuck Testa forgotten to him. Behind his mask, sweat poured down his face. That growing fear that he wouldn't make it out alive throwing his aim off.
His gun clicked empty, and the cuttlefish began to close in on him... 6604

The homosexual octopi immediately went after Rocketman, him being the most moe and vulnerable of the bunch, only for Chuck Testa to bite off the dick-tentacle it reached out with. Meanwhile, Slade pulled a pistol and searched for ammunition.

Chuck Testa turned away from Slade to acknowledge his new adversary. Slade took the opportunity to take cover, while the octopi danced back and forth in the water, preparing to attack.

Chuck Testa promptly bit down on the barrel of the rifle, shrugging off every bullet, and tore it out of Slade's hands. "Go, my minion!" I snarl, like a lion snarls at prey, or the Waifu Master snarls at non-2D women. "Kill him!"

Slade promptly pulled a rifle and began firing with reckless abandon, Kinder taking the brunt of the assault, his body reduced to a fine red mist after getting hit by dozens of high-caliber rounds, the first of many casualties. I duck down and drag Rocketman along with me, using the shark as cover.

Heeding the ghost's advice, I ducked under Kinder's fierce counterattack, and proceeded to jump onto one of the sharks and steer it away from Rocketman. "Take my hand, stranger!" I yelled, and made a half-assed attempt to pull him out of the water that apparently surrounded us.

I'll constantly look over a post multiple times before actually posting it. Each time my cursor hovers over the post button, I'll think about any possible typos or inaccuracies and have to go through it all one more time before I can finally post it.

The Flood / Re: Endings of things that you actually enjoyed.« on: January 06, 2015, 04:22:08 PM »well i'm just saying, even by it's own terms, i don't even see how it's a bad ending Hm. Well, what I mainly wanted was for them to intertwine the Operator with the events that occurred, and get him more involved in the story, instead of treating him like an occasional plot device. EverymanHYBRID does this right - I like watching the characters try to cope with the supernatural experiences they go through. Which makes it odd and, frankly, disappointing when the characters in Marnets don't even comment on the crazy shit that goes down. Jay tries to wrestle with the Operator and loses seven months-worth of memory? Nope, not worth discussing that tall, faceless thing, just going to talk about how inconvenient amnesia is. They had the perfect opportunity for Tim to focus on the Operator, the biggest villain of the story, the one responsible for all this, the one who caused all the suffering he experienced from the start of the show, the most personal adversary he has, and something he himself led straight to Alex...except when the ending comes, the Operator isn't even referenced in passing. Like, what? Did Tim just get bored? Is that why he fucked off instead of even attempting to find out more? There's no reason the Operator wouldn't come back for him - hell, he was the first one to see the thing. It's literally his arch-enemy. Instead he just gave up after killing Alex, with absolutely no reason to do so. It seems less like the creators left the ending open and more like they decided 'fuck it, let's just end it here.' 6621
The Flood / Re: Endings of things that you actually enjoyed.« on: January 06, 2015, 03:52:17 PM »i find the reasoning of "it wasn't how i wanted/how i'd like it to be" rather childish, personally I can, however, judge it on my own terms. I have no reason for continued loyalty; they produce little webisodes to watch, and I'll watch as long as it keeps me interested. If I dislike how it turns out, well, I have the right to voice my disappointment. And apparently the majority is in agreement. It's the same as any novel series, or video game series, or movie series. If it disappoints me at any point, I'll stop following it. If the ending disappoints me, then I'll consider it a bad ending. Especially if everything up until that point was stuff I considered good. 6622
The Flood / Re: Endings of things that you actually enjoyed.« on: January 06, 2015, 03:38:09 PM »but i loved it lolDid anyone here watch Marble Hornets? That's an example of mystery-horror done right, only to end in the shittiest, most unsatisfying way possible. It was absolutely awesome up until that fucking final entry. Good for you, but I didn't. It was great up until I realized this was the last entry ever (until the movie). I was thinking they'd move on to the Operator being the main antagonist, especially since up until this point he could have been removed from the story entirely and it wouldn't change much. I didn't want them to explain his origins or anything like that - that would defeat his entire purpose - but I wanted them to expand on the genuinely supernatural, Lovecraftian portions of the series, especially since he's supposed to be the man-behind-the-man. Alex is dead, but the (not-so) story-driving villain isn't. Instead I get Tim lolnoping his way out of the show and ending it in such an anticlimactic, amateurish way. 6623
