The Flood / Re: (☠) "you cared enough to respond"« on: January 15, 2015, 07:56:37 PM »Then would you care to elaborate on your mysterious, personalised meaning of the word?i shouldn't have to Somebody walking up to you and talking about their day when you don't care is a bit different from you seeing a thread, clicking on it, reading through it, and then posting about how you don't care. Like, why did you click on it at all then? 6425
The Flood / Re: (☠) "you cared enough to respond"« on: January 15, 2015, 07:45:46 PM »You did make a contribution. One post and a whole threadneither of which count as contributions because they do not expand on the topic "I don't care, so I'm not going to bother responding." ...as opposed to... "I totally don't care! In fact, I have to let everyone know that I don't care! It's mandatory that I remind them that I don't care at all about their thread that I'm replying in right now! And if anybody responds I'll tell them again about how I couldn't possibly care less! That'll show 'em!" 6426
The Flood / Re: (☠) "you cared enough to respond"« on: January 15, 2015, 07:34:40 PM »so i post "i don't care" to let people know that i don't care Which, of course, tells everyone the exact opposite. 6427
The Flood / Re: (☠) "you cared enough to respond"« on: January 15, 2015, 07:27:37 PM »In other words, you cared about what they wrote. But not about the subject they wrote about. Apparently not, though, since whatever it was got a reaction. He may not have an opinion on the subject, but he still clearly cares. 6428
The Flood / Re: (☠) "you cared enough to respond"« on: January 15, 2015, 07:26:15 PM »I'd tell you I don't have an opinion on whatever you asked me about.YOU WOULD IF YOU RESPONDED!! ...No. Not at all. I care about the question - why would I have listened to it if I didn't? I just don't have any thoughts or preferences regarding the topic in question. 6429
The Flood / Re: (☠) "you cared enough to respond"« on: January 15, 2015, 07:23:04 PM »If you truly didn't care, you wouldn't have reacted to whatever you supposedly don't care about.that is so insanely fucking stupid The difference is, you aren't able to fully block out somebody in real life. This, however, is a forum. It isn't like real life, where you're forced to react to everything and everyone that addresses you. You have the luxury of ignoring something you don't care about. Reading a post, hitting the reply button, specifically writing that you don't care, and posting it means you saw what they said, had an internal reaction, and responded based on that internal reaction. In other words, you cared about what they wrote. 6430

If you really want to talk about it, though, I'd sit and listen. 6431

The Flood / Re: What's the worst song from your favorite band?« on: January 15, 2015, 03:47:20 PM »
I have the opposite problem. More often than not I'll only enjoy a handful of songs from a band and hate the rest.

Expecting there to be a shock image behind every spoiler and finding out there isn't one is somehow worse than there actually being a shock image.
