Demos usually look better than the finished product. The latter image is what the game could be were it pushed to its limit, the former is what the game ended up being for consumers with more limited hardware. Also consider that the massive amount of content means the graphics need to take a hit just to fit it all in.

Spoiler Between the two, Big Boss was the bigger bastard. Even at his horniest, Venom Snake still refused to kill children and execute Huey, and treated his soldiers like his own family. Big Boss might have just wanted his body double gone after the latter got himself a Metal Gear and an army of his own, regardless of his moral alignment. 4186

Gaming / Re: Yeah Quiet is hot and all« on: September 07, 2015, 01:56:19 AM »I didn't know Quiet was in other MGS games......wait IS she?No. There was actually some compelling reasoning behind it. Quiet has powers similar to The End's, and it's heavily implied Chico is The End's grandson. Also consider that they're both snipers. Quiet has a somewhat similar facial structure to Chico, but that's a bit of a stretch in my opinion. Chico's broken under torture twice and talked, which leads to the theory that he purposefully muted himself to prevent it from happening again. He was forced to rape Paz while in Camp Omega, which led some to believe he had a sex change so he couldn't do that again, either. All of which was confirmed a crock of shit when the game came out, but it was an interesting thought. 4192

But really, the theme is clearly words. Skull Face goes on a really well-acted speech about how words are everything, Big Boss forgot every language he learned except English
Spoiler because he's really the Medic and didn't know any languages aside from English in the first place, Spoiler because of the parasites that wipe out certain people who speak certain languages, and she describes herself as 'the absence of words'. Spoiler it's Big Boss' failure to communicate his plan to Miller that caused their split, alongside Venom Snake's rise to power. |
