Oh man, I'd love it if every president was actually a Templar and every assassination attempt in history was actually done by the good guys.
The Assassins aren't the "good guys" though.

They're just as bad, if not sometimes worse than the Templars.

And the Templar's goals make sense too.

You'd be right if the series didn't go out of its way to make every Templar from II onward out to be completely fucking nuts while simultaneously making sure every Assassin and ally to the Assassins is portrayed positively.

I do too. I've never been particularly good with chopsticks, though.
It's surprisingly simple to pick up, yo.

Not being good with them isn't the same as not knowing how to use them. My hands are too big and clumsy to use them with any precision.

(They also make my handwriting abysmal.)

Anyone know if sprint is infinite? If the map is hugenormous then going a bit faster for a few seconds before pausing to let it recharge is annoying, and sitting through a two-minute loading screen is equally annoying.
It uses up your Action Points

Of course it does.

Well thank Christ you're not a writer.

A) I was only semiserious and
B) I am a writer.

And besides that that's still better writing that the entire bit with Desmond and those aliens and all that bullshit.
Still cliche as fuck tho.

So is the rest of the series.
How is using technology to read ancient memories in DNA to relive memories of your ancestors stabbing power-hungry dudes cliche?

How isn't an ancient conspiracy built around ancient technology sought by an Illuminati-esque organization who are opposed by a small group of enlightened rebels cliche?
I can't really think of any popular examples of that.

Ancient conspiracies have been done to death.

Ancient technology has been done to death.

Illuminati-esque groups fighting smaller rebel groups have been done to death.

All stories are built upon cliches. It's finding new combinations thereof that make them seem original.
I don't see any popular examples.
Just from video games?

Halo's story is built around lost technology.
Metal Gear is built around conspiracy.
I'll give you that last one, though. I can't think of any games that pull off the Illuminati thing like AC.

I am a writer.
oh really

would you mind if i read any of your published works

i have none

but i do write so by definition i am a writer
That's not really how it works buddy boy.

Would eventual writer work better then? Future writer? Hypothetical writer?
You're just not really a writer.

You like to write. I like to play baseball. I'm not a baseball player though.
Yeah, you are. You're not a professional baseball player, though.
I'm not on a team and I don't train. I like to play. He likes to write.

Writing is something I intend to make money from. Hence, I am writer. Or a writer-to-be, anyhow.
Well then it's a different story if you're taking it seriously. If.

I have no skills beyond writing, so I pretty much have to. It's either that or forcing myself into a field I'd be mediocre in.

Or McDonalds, but fuck McDonalds.
