Retardation would be awful. Functioning insanity sounds interesting, though.

Look at this fucking moron saying stupid shit.

Man of Steel: The way they showed Clark/Kal-El as a kid adjusting to his powers and wrestling with what he should do with them.

Except for the part where Jonathon Kent, a normally supportive, tolerant, and loving father scars Clark well into adulthood by urging him to hide his powers by letting him be killed right in front of him. That backstory is arguably responsible for the crappy grimdark Supes that is so lacking in confidence and experience that he causes untold collateral damage in his first fight, leading directly to the BvS plot.

Nothing on Earth could have prepared him to fight three people with the same powers he has. Also, the collateral damage was mostly Zod throwing him into shit, which is hardly Superman's fault.

It always puzzled me how it took Clark years to learn how to use his powers but Zod and his cronies figured it out in hours.

Did you actually just compare my wealth to Bill Gates?

Oh man, I hope whatever school has taken you in will teach you a bit better on how this all works.

You're right about one thing, this isn't worth arguing over, not on here.
I think he was doing the opposite.

Saying wealthy is used to describe people like the Gates and the Hiltons.

Then its not how that works, because thats just extreme wealth. I can drop my jobs and still be able to live happily. I work because I simply like to work and I'd rather not be a NEET or something there's nothing forcing me to work though -That's wealth, when you compare that to Bill Gates, of course I dont seem it.

I work for my family, simply because I want to respect and help what they've built up

What jobs do you have, and how do you have time for them all?

I'm not quite sure what makes it 'ironic'. Nobody's ever given me a satisfactory explanation.

I made a top tier salad last night.

It had all kinds of yummy things.

Like radishes, celery, and gorilla semen.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Jimmy John's is the correct answer.

Maybe, through some twist of logic, he wanted to write a shitty essay. It's not like writing is a difficult task, so he gave himself an extra challenge by deliberately writing poorly.

You should compliment this genius maneuver.

They start out fun but get redundant after a while.

In other news Jim is an evil mastermind.

And anyone claiming to be a nice guy is either:
   A. Fugly or
   B. Too fucking autistic to actually ask
              someone out.

General reminder that if you're too shy to talk to people, you're the asshole.

Wouldn't they be too shy to be an asshole?

A spider once killed a wasp that stung me, so they're pretty cool in my eyes.

As long as they keep their distance, anyway.

Well it's as if you're denying grass is green. It's green. End of story.

Technically green is the only color rejected by it so the color you're seeing is the color grass is not, and the human brain is merely tricked into thinking it's green 'cause light is some bullshit, but that's neither here nor there.

1729
So anyway I'm thinking, since water is wet, and humans are mostly made of water, that means every girl I meet is wet whenever they see me.

I like this logic. It's good logic.

There is water under the ocean.

Powering the water.

Casca also gets raped and gives birth to a demon baby...

Casca herself, not the events surrounding her. She's a strong character with her own personality, and isn't just there for eye candy (since, y'know, she wears full body armor and not a string bikini or whatever).

She was also raped to move the plot forward.

Yet still manages to be a strong character nonetheless.

I thought Verbatim would like that virtually all sex is portrayed negatively.

Berserk and Bokurano, though.
I didn't know Berserk was deconstruction, but isn't it known for being over-the-top violent or something?

Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it seems to me that it's a perfect example of what I'm talking about.

It's an over-the-top violent deconstruction of the typical shounen manga. Also Casca is probably the most dignified female character to ever appear in a story produced in Japan.

I don't know what Bokurano is.

Remedy that. It's like the exact polar opposite of Gurren Lagann.

Oh yeah, and "deconstructions" of anime tropes don't work for me.

The only way anime knows how to "deconstruct" its own tropes is by amplifying them to extremity (Kill la Kill, Panty & Stocking, One Punch Man, Me!Me!Me!), which is lazy, uncreative, boring, and almost as obnoxious as the tropes themselves.

Berserk and Bokurano, though.

Warrior: Jive. He's pretty ripped, I figure he could overpower somebody if it came to that.

Healer: Mr. Psychologist. A psychology degree can double as a medical degree in a pinch.

Socializer: Goji. Nobody can hate him. Nobody that isn't a faggot, anyway.

Brains: Meta. I'd trust him to make the rational, objective decisions.

Fall guy: It's all Verb's fault.
