calc is pretty annoying because it requires a lot of mastery to be able to break down problems so they’re solvable in an efficient manner

the english/math thing is hilarious if you ever take a computational analysis class or logic class which uses mathematical models to break down sentences in order to find truth or/and contradictions

i have learned to like all subjects

for whatever reason the 1070ti has not really changed in price for the past 2 years

its not a bad card but it gets blown away by the 30 series

also if you're looking for a used GPU for 1080p stuff use OfferUp and sort by lowest price

found an RX570 + RX580 (8 gb) for $80, which is wicked good for gaming on linux or just average workloads

Intel? In 2O2O?
I'm looking at a 3900x myself right now, but stock is low everywhere.

Don't worry
According to the techtubers with like half the world's stock, supply will normalize
I'm sure it will, but I'd like to buy it before the end of the year for tax purposes lol

Tax write off?
Playing Cyberpunk on ultra a part of your job?
Pretty much. I already mentioned it in my thread about microphones (advice still welcome, if you have any). I founded a Ltd. company last year for my esports / streaming work. Got a good amount of revenue but hardly any costs in 2020. Incurring some expenses now and writing them off would be good for taxes. The main problem is that so much is out of stock. I was looking at an 5900x, RTX 3080, PS5 and so on, but they're pretty much impossible to get these days.
get a bot, write a bot, or hop into a discord running off bots

buying hot things on the internet is not for humans; stick to in store purchasing if you can

game's alright, can't say much as there's still a lot left to do in it

had to scale my resolution down from 1440p to 1080p to get 50 fps on high settings; using an m.2 nvme which is great for loading textures and files

i haven't had a lot of bugs but the driving AI is pretty bad and the game has a lot less going on then what seemed advertised

was never on the hype train for this game but i dumped 14 hours into it with no real bugs, glitches, or crashes so idk what is going on with a lot of other people's pcs

oh yeah also install Vimium lol
I'm not comfortable enough with Vim yet to have all the keybinds memorized but I'm working on it so I bookmarked it. Still kind of a noob tbh but it'll be cool to reach that point where I can fly around with just the keyboard.

Managed to figure out how to bind freescrolling to the Fn3 key with xinput, but I'm apparently too retarded to get my xbindkeys config for the other two buttons to work. Farting out a bad access error when I do xbindkeys -n -v
...I'll figure it out eventually, I keep getting sidetracked with the other two projects I'm working on.

Do you actually game on PC with a track ball?
Well I haven't tried competitive/first person shooters yet but I play Warframe pretty comfortably.
no excuses install Vimium

press ? at any time for the commands
There are a lot of those: Tridactyl, Vim Vixen, QuteBrowser...
i haven’t tried Qute but it looks pretty slick
