Serious / Re: Republicans own the House, Senate, and governorship.
« on: November 13, 2014, 01:08:35 AM »
Because Republicans simply make better governors than Democrats do. Example: I live in Massachusetts. When Romney was governor, he lowered taxes, fixed a lot of the infrastructure, and got shit done. When Deval (Dem) got elected, he sat on his ass and raised taxes all day, didn't get any shit done, gave more tax money to welfare abusers, attempted to fill my town with shitty illegal Guatemalan refugees and basically acted like Obama's bum buddy. He was an objectively shitty. Now that Charlie Baker, a Republican is elected, I expect him to lower taxes and crack down on welfare abuse. Maybe even get out infastructure fixed up too.
And I live in Ohio where our governor's only advertisement for why he should be reelected is because Ohio has gained so many jobs while he was in office, failing to address the fact that Ohio is ranked #45 in job growth. Should I now think that all Republicans are terrible governors?

I thought we were arguing about Halo 5 sucking balls, can we get back on track, please?
We've all ran out of ways to say that it looks like CoD and is a departure from the franchise. If we're going to keep this conversation going, we'll have to start copy/pasting.
Why the hell does nobody respond to my comments on Dual Wielding, ever? There's literally no flaw in the system, is that why?
I don't really see it as a gamebreaking flaw personally. Dual wield was a good mechanic that worked well in previous installments but it's possible 343 couldn't find a way to make it work in with this one.

Just watched some gameplay. Like, what the fuck is everybody crying about?
I'm guessing most of them jumped on the hate bandwagon early on and wouldn't have got off regardless of what they saw.

Or maybe... We're all just incredibly concerned that the devs are making such a departure from what made Halo good? The answer isn't always "DURHUR FANBOYS".
The only specific criticism I've seen in this entire thread is that there's no dual wielding. Sorry but, "DURHUR CALL OF HALO" and "DURHUR DEPATURE" aren't very compelling arguments if that's the only thing you're going to say over and over.

Lol what am I reading? No custom classes. Weapons spawn around the map in specific locations. No special abilities. This is the most Halo-y game we've got in 7 years.

I've struggled with depression when I was younger but looking back I don't see any correlation with it and the internet.

What is donating going to accomplish? Where is the money going? I don't see how a nonprofit organization is going to fix street harassment.

Very interesting. The way you elegantly describe the faults in the story really changed my perspective completely. I can tell I'll never be able to look at it the same way.

Kind of puts things into perspective.

Because people desperately want to look intelligent online and there are few repercussions to being offensive when posting anonymously.

Didn't spend a ton of time on this and didn't answer a couple of them so this might not be fully accurate.

Not sure what you're trying to prove here, but for most people (myself included), the death of a countryman will tend to have more of an impact. Doesn't mean their life was any more "valuable".

Just search funny vines on YouTube. The uploaders always put hot girls in the thumbnail that are never in the video.
or their clip is considerably less funny than the rest. I fall for it every time.

Your personality style is:
Compulsive

Your test scores suggest that your personality style entails: A preoccupation with matters of order and control. Not only are you supremely well organized and settled into your usual and familiar routines, you also believe that others should be. This may lead the people around you to perceive you as a moralistic stickler and a busybody - someone who's always pointing out the inefficiencies and mistakes of others, smugly flaunting your own successes as a model for others to follow. Unbeknownst to yourself, however, one reason that you cling to the rules is because you feel that you constantly must fight off urges to let loose in order to be worthy of love and respect. You most likely have unacknowledged feelings of anger and defiance that you hide away from the world, attempting instead to present a perfect façade that others may admire and respect.

Somewhat accurate. At least, I don't expect more accurate results if I retook, it given my problems with the test.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the questions can change depending on your previous answers? Like there's not just 105 of the same exact questions for everyone.
