Gaming / Playing through Dark Souls« on: April 18, 2020, 11:21:24 AM »
Hello friends,
I have never actually beaten the first Dark Souls. I got the game back in 2012, made it about half way into the game, and then just quit and never picked it up again. I got my brother and cousin into it and I recently discovered that they had both beat the game. So because I no longer want to be the beta cuck of the family, I just picked up Dark Souls Remastered and am going in. WHICH CLASS DO I PICK 335

I used to watch reruns of that show religiously as a child, probably more than any other show, and I genuinely can't remember the plot of a single episode. Maybe one where he and Vicky get sucked into the tv or something?
I watched an episode in high school or something and was shocked by how bad it was. How much of a key developmental stage did I waste consuming this garbage. Spongebob, Drake and Josh, and the Amanda Show are the only Nickelodeon shows I've seen as an adult that hold up. 337
Serious / Re: Why don't people care about the Biden allegations?« on: April 16, 2020, 11:50:22 AM »
I don't see why people would think it's a hopeless pursuit when so many high profile people have been taken down in recent memory. The issue is clearly that it would be devastating to their preferred candidate's campaign. I'd say it's a combination of cognitive dissonance and straight up dishonesty, but for the media and democrats, it's the latter.

Serious / Why don't people care about the Biden allegations?« on: April 15, 2020, 02:28:07 PM »
Seemingly only a fraction of people that were outraged about Kavanaugh care about the Biden allegations.
https://www.jacobinmag.com/2020/04/joe-biden-tara-reade-sexual-assault-allegation-media https://www.nationalreview.com/2020/04/new-york-times-unequal-coverage-sexual-assault-allegations-against-joe-biden-brett-kavanaugh/ The links describe the very different reactions in media coverage but it can really be extended to everyone. All week I've been seeing progressives described as "privileged" for if they won't support Biden. We'll see if trying to cover this up and basically gaslighting their own voterbase will be a winning strategy. tl;dr: >Kavanaugh is accused of assault when he was a teenager >National outrage >Biden is accused of rape when he was a Senator >Error 404: Not Found Imagine wondering why conservatives don't trust the media. Imagine wondering why conservatives don't care about issues like this. But I guess the ends justify the means :-) edit: great video: YouTube 340

Do you think your job would be at risk by telling them? I don't think you'd be in the wrong in either scenario. I might go ahead and tell them since it sounds like the non-managers are the ones getting screwed over by this.

This “solution” doesn’t make sense to me. Wouldn’t the people that cheated just be more likely to pass, or are they just trying to blanket-fail everyone? I’d try to fight it, however you can.

I don't see the problem. If the virus originated in a US market that shouldn't be legal, and was handled as negligently by the US as China handled it, then everyone would be happy to blame the US.

Klobuchar and Buttigieg have suspended their campaigns ahead of Super Tuesday, for the one guy that voted for Buttigieg. Not sure if you'll be able to vote again or not. I'm pretty sure I checked the box for everyone to be able to change their vote but it doesn't look like I can.

This thread inspired me to try to see all the Best Picture nominations and I managed to see all of them except Little Women (I'd still like to rent it eventually). I think the Irishman would have for sure been my pick to win it.

Probably one of the worst presidents in American history whose only redeeming quality is the incompetence of his administration.
I'll likely be voting blue in November but I haven't decided yet. |
