Anyway, we finally have the maximum number of participants. Ember, Orion, and Tblocks are now in the tourney. Eighteen players representing all eighteen types.
For new players:
Though I do allow you to edit your team in between matches, you may not edit your team in between battles. This may not have been made clear in the OP; I apologize for any confusion.
My username on Showdown is TBlocks

Give me that Water type. WE HAVE OUR FINAL PARTICIPANT
I can't guarantee you Water, but since you and Orion are the last two to join, I'll give you the option to trade with each other (since you won't have the privilege of rerolling like everyone else has). Orion has stated that he's fine with either type, so I'm sure you'll be able to negotiate something with him if you need to.
Now, for the moment of truth:
TBlocks & Orion TBlocks: Water Orion: Normal
Cool cool.

A retired NASA astronaut is a viral star thanks to his official NASA photo that shows him posing with two unlikely companions.
Leland Melvin, who retired from NASA last February according to the space agency, is seen in the photo in the traditional orange spacesuit worn by astronauts in their official photos, but instead of posing alone, Melvin is flanked by his two dogs. [Insert Link Here] Discuss Space!

I used to, but then when I got two ingrown toenails that needed surgery (Fuck that was painful) and the nurse said that I should wear socks as little as possible to stop it happening again... well you only need the surgery once to know that you don't want it ever again <.<
I knew there was a reason I avoid wearing socks.

We should make a Sep7agon league.

I guess so. I'm making one with a couple of guys from B.Net if you want to merge it?

"Will do."
Chris taps his comm device.
"Hello base? Hello? Yes we need an extraction ASAP."
Chris turns to Jill.
"It's fuzzy but I think they heard me."

"Rtas, Jill is right. This is a good opportunity to try and stop it quickly."

Chris inspects the room noticing that this is the first time while being in the building that he saw the full extent of damage the Flood infected had caused. Claw marks on the walls, dead corpses (but surprisingly not that many), and a noticeable lack of light.
"Our first step should be to try to establish communications with base." Chris said.
"Although with that being said it's very likely we won't be able to so our next option and really our only option is to find a way out of here. We can get reinforcements once we're out of here but once again getting out should be our priority."
Chris looks for weapons inside the room they're in.
"Any ideas?"

Why is competition not good? It's a natural part of our being. https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/appeal-to-natureLiterally every human competes in some way. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argumentum_ad_populum
it's not productive if it's not productive, it's not good
it's not bad but it's not good either
you're not actually accomplishing anything
That's not true. Because you can get a job in sports, become an athlete and make money. what does that have to do with anything
that doesn't give sports any meaning
Well sure there is. But it's entertainment nonetheless. People enjoy watching it so the NHL continues to ice hockey teams. because people are idiots, yes i'm not impressed
And you still haven't addressed how it's more fun than running on a treadmill. because it's such a minor point
meat tastes good doesn't mean i'm gonna eat it

Sports are a way in which we compete. It gives us fun while competing in a semi-meaningful way. and it's not just to say "i win" but it's also for entertainment. The NHL, NBA etc... It's also a more fun way to get exercise than running on a treadmill. competition isn't good
"semi-meaningful"--no, it has no meaning that's your ego talking
there's more productive and less harmful forms of entertainment

Beyond weight lifting (which is also a sport) and running (which happens to be a sport) where are you supposed to get exercise?

never said i hate them
i just think they're dumb and stupid and pointless and most importantly, expensive
in terms of money, time, energy, and pain
for what? just to say "i win"
