During the investigation you guys think Sean is going to be giving these people straight forward responses or do you think he's going to be dodging questions which cryptic ones?
Now THAT would be something.

18 Hours in and the game has really come into its own. So many ways to navigate, and so many interesting plot points. If I haven't said that you need to pick this game up enough.... PICK IT UP!!!!

Definitely want. Going to have to wait a few weeks.  :/

Haven't seen too much gameplay, but is the level design as beautiful as Human Rev?
Yep, and ever more so.

Discuss plot points, great missions, or your utmost disdain for this great game. And yes it is great, don't kid yourself....

I have played for about 6 hours now, and it has been awesome! Combat feels a lot less clunky, and the atmosphere and side missions have been given a better attention to detail to make them much more memorable. One is working for find a serial killer who has been leaving bodies behind with all of their Augs missing.... But the biggest character right now is the world. Its like the Augmentation Holocaust, whereas the Augmented people are considered outcasts, regularly degraded to that of animals, constantly harassed, segregated, even to the point of being moved into a separate "gheto city" for their kind. Which is also monitored by the UN-augmented. Its all painting a picture of the world now through Adams eyes. Even the random NPC's you walk past mock you with derogatory names, and you are stopped all the time when switched hub areas by the police, always asking for your papers.

Ok, its a game with phenomenal exploration and the incomprehensible amount of physical planets is an experience that can blow you away on its own! However, about 90% of the time you just explore, mine, and craft. Thats about it. Combat is an extremely rare happening, and finding a planet that is somewhat interesting enough to stay on for a while is hard as well.

Blowing through a planets atmosphere and flying to another in "realistic" distance and time is amazing! It is something many of you have never done before.... But like I said, thats about it. The rest of it feels a bit hollow. There is some space combat, but its yet another rare occurrence. I wish there was some sort of galactic war, and you could fly into a huge ship battle and simultaneously fight on the surface.

But yeah, its an exploration game. Space Farm Sim 2016. It was there intentions to be that way, and thats cool and all... But it does not bode well for its longevity unless you like grinding so 110% of the time.

Close to my house is a HUGE cemetary that has so many landmarks in it, they are all PoKestops. Went and farmed them yesterday, and came out with a Hitmonchan.

BUUUUUUUT, today they posted a sign banning all gaming, due to people getting out of their cars, walking over graves, leaving trash, and interupting services.

Yeah their E3 conference did end kinda weak. But according to a rumor, RDR2 was supposed to be announced right at the end, it was to be their show stopper. However, it was pulled at the last minute because it featured a guy shooting up a saloon and resembeled too much of what happened in Orlando....

I mean, it seems logical when you think about it. They featured a game twice, and far apart from its debut trailer. Just plain coincedence? Who knows!

Gaming / Forced Inclusivness in Games?
« on: May 11, 2016, 09:01:55 PM »
I dont know if you have noticed lately, there are many characters out there that just seem to have a forced notion of "oh, btw im gay..."

Take The Division for example. At one moment during the story missions, the lady in the medicle wing just at random during a exposition conversation just happens to throw in that she has a "wife". It just seems like a forced, unneeded tid bit of information that holds no sway, or any resemblense of impact. Now I understand that The Division is not the best (or good) when it comes to story telling, but its not the only example. They pretty much sum themselves up to "hey, im gay. Why? *claps hands* Thats why!"

After recent events with people screaming for more LGBT type characters in their entertainment, it seems like its being slipped in as an after thought with no care, or nuance to make this a true trait of that character. Take The Last of Us for example

*SPOILER ALERT*
Spoiler
In the left behind DLC, Ellie has a moment with her best friend. After we learn that she is leaving to join the Fire Flies, the pair start to dance on a glass table to some classics. After a minute, and with emotions riled up, Ellie softly says "Dont go." Which Riley then rips off her dog tags; signifying that she changed her mind. Which then urges Ellie to kiss her friend...

Now, I am no gay expert. But that was a DAMN effective moment. It introduced another side to a character that I though I knew pretty well. It sheds a new light on her personality and makes me understand her delimma at the end, and even in the main game even more.

Its moments like that when diversity is done right. So when ever I see a character casually toss his/her/both sexuality trading card on the table out of the blue. I cant help but want to smash my head against a refrigerator door a bit. If people are so gung ho to have a more diverse cast, why are they forcing notions of sexuality in a very contrived way?

It serves no purpose and works against what they're trying to accomplish. What do you think on the matter?
