Gaming / Re: Welp, Nintendo says *F You! Give me money!" To YouTubers.« on: January 30, 2015, 10:43:33 AM »Indeed it has been. But its also very stupid that Nintendo continues to be the bigger black sheep when it comes to Game Vids, and not realize that this helps their sales. Nearly ALL other pubs and devs see this and they endorse and praise it.That only applies to videos that make money though, right? So as long as you aren't profiting from the video, it's fair use.Not necessarily. YouTube is a business, and as you know, they can run it how they want. You do have every right to post whatever you want under fair use laws--on your own website. But YouTube is notorious for blowing out innocuous videos for... nothing more than having five seconds of a copyrighted song in the background or for wearing a small logo on a shirt. So yeah, videos entirely comprised of game footage aren't going to be very safe regardless of if they're monetized. It's a shitty situation, but it's been a part of TheirTube for years. 727
Gaming / Welp, Nintendo says *F You! Give me money!" To YouTubers.« on: January 30, 2015, 09:06:57 AM »YouTube Nintendo has shown off their partnership program for YouTube. Pretty much, you pay them and Google and you get your bit of the revenue. However, they have to approve your video and if its not to their liking then you wont be seeing it online bub! Well this kinda sucks for Sceptile, I know he is working on Nintendo related stuff for the channel... 728

G&G GK5c ![]() Heavy as all hell, but an amazing rifle with great range and accuracy. Its full metal internally and externally with the highest quality gear box you can get right out of the box. WE Samurai Edge ![]() Light and very easy to spit bb's down range fast. This thing has taken a beating and still works. It fell out of my holster once and fell into a pond, and it still works. 732
Gaming / Re: Why did/didnt you play Spec Ops: The Line?« on: January 28, 2015, 07:41:30 PM »I played it for the whole 'playing the player' meta thing, which is basically the only thing redeeming its horrendous gameplay. It's done so well that any flaws can be forgiven, or at least overlooked. Metal Gear Solid 2 did the same thing over a decade earlier, though, so I'm wondering why it's considered so original.I did. They are nothing like this. 733

The Flood / What if - Anakin was concieved by Palpatine?« on: January 28, 2015, 02:34:58 PM »
Ok, as absurd as this may all sound right now, hear me out. Since Lucus decided to make the Force microscopic with midichlorians and all that jazz, a little theory popped into my head about the birth of Anakin.
In The Phantom Menace, Anakins mother explains that he had no father, that she randomly got prego and gave birth while never actually having sex. Later on, Qui-Gon suggest that he was conceived by the midichlorians-thus speaking towards that Chosen One prophecy that he would destroy the SIth... Moving on to The Revenge of the Sith, during the Opera House scene with Palpatine telling Anakin an old Sith legend, he said that a Sith lord had the power to use the Force on the midichlorians--to create life (this was Darth Plagueis). The whole conversation banters back and forward the suggestion that Palpatine may or may not know this power (and we never see it). But what if! What if, Palpatine did know this power, and influenced the birth of Anakin--while unknowingly fulfilling the prophecy which leads to his own demise. What do you think of this theory? _________________________________________________ _________________________ Yeah the whole thing was just to influence Anakin to join the Dark SIde, but myah... Myah is say!!! MYAH!!!! 735

Why did or didnt you play this fabulous game Spec Ops: The Line? Did you not play it because it looked like random generic shooter #2000? Did you not play it because of its demo? Well, if those are your excuses, shame on you-go play it!
I can literally sit here for hours and talk your ear off about how this game is anything but generic, or bad. Sure its shooting mechanics are nothing unique, but it works. If you're one of those people that played the demo back in the day, you are missing out on what makes this game amazing. You see, the opening levels of the game are supposed to be your team of elite soldiers killing insurgents to rock music. THAT IS ON PURPOSE! It is to remind you what shooters are to you today, and then turns that on its head later on. Spec Ops: The Line is an adaptation of The Heart of Darkness. You can argue that its like Apocalypse Now and I would agree! Below are a few videos on this game. The first one is SPOILER FREE, the second and third are ones that dive deep into the game and show you what makes this game effective. YouTube YouTube YouTube 739
